Absorption
0 / 100
+0.2% chance per point to drain an additional 10% of your opponents current HP per combat turn (only works on a successful hit).

what this does :?: ? give me energy hp  or just deal extra damage  ?

that skill is working like this:
1.you hit the creature but don't have the damage to kill it
2.you got hit back but stand the blow
3.you hit again and if the buff kicks in (20%chance if you put 100 skill points in it) the creature will be easyer to kill because it drains 10% hp

Simply put it helps you 2 hit creatures that you might even 3/4 hit or even die in combat.

if you play FS you know how Blood Thirst works..this is not identic but similar.

It might be a good skill at some point but as things stands now you can 1 hit most of the time so you don't need it.

I'm not entirely sure cuz I haven't tried it, but I don't think your 100% right.

I think it works exactly like Bloodthirst. It doesn't have to be the second round to kick it; it can work on the first hit as well.

I agree - the wording implies it can work in the first round if you actually score a hit. Problem is the wording on "current HP". Creature starts with 140. You do 128 damage (leaving 12). Does the 10% do 14 or 1? Pretty major difference.

i interpreted the effect as being possible any round you hit, including the first one... and taking 10% of the current hp

i agree with ecolitan's example in spirit, but i believe it would play out 140hp initial, -128 = 14 remaining, 10% = 1.4 round up = 2 damage, leaving 12 hp for a two hit kill

But to the original point - does it absorb HP from the organism (as in add it to your health), or is the wording just really bad?

yes the wording is just really bad :) it only makes the creature a little weaker some times
