You just had a buy fc and get 20% extra free and that is totally cool except not many could take advantage of it because it was run between paydays. I got my check deposited on Friday night from work and when I got up Saturday morning it was to late to take you all up on it. many others I know get payed at the beginning of the month or the 15th and the 30th. Please consider doing this offer soon again as I am one who is now ready to take advantage of it. Thanks

You should be grateful that HCS offers these +15% or +20% FCs offers but they can't always make these offers available to everyones pay schedule.

They satisfy one group and another group will complain.

The deal can only be taken once right? So why not make it a 2 week deal? That ought to please virtually everyone who wants to take advantage of it.

first of all they do not put these deals up for us only but as a way to bring in extra money for them developing the game get real. It is this way in all marketplaces. shops have sales when they need to move product or gain cash flow not to give the customer a good deal. also I was not complaining but asking so find somewhere else to post your bs please.

Heh. They'll probably have this deal again in a month or 2. Just have money handy.

I have no money on the other hand, but it's good that some people take advantage of this deal.

Strictly speaking you're right Dreevin, the deals are not for us, they're primarily so they can make more money. But the only way they can do that is by making it possible for us to take advantage of it.

The way I see it, they lose absolutely nothing to making these deals last 2 weeks instead of just 48 hours. Very little extra coding required, and as long as it can still only be used once by any one player noone can abuse it. All it means is that there is a larger time spread on the offer so logically more people will take advantage of it.

Much like fishing, the bigger the net usually the more fish you'll catch.

And more money means they have more capital to work on and expand the game with.

but if you think of it in a marketing perspective, with demand and supply..

if you leave supply in excess and available to everyone all the time, not as many people will purchase it.

people who think of buying FC will buy them instantly if they have money and see they can have 20% extra on it, therefore generating more instant income, if they have it on forf a weeek or two, people will put it off

Look at it like a sale when you're out shopping...

It's only a deal if you are willing to pay more for it!

My only suggestion to the OP is not to live from paycheck to paycheck LOL

and two...

FallenJol kinda stole my thunder a little bit, and he's absolutely right.. It's a marketing strategy. Much in the same way they don't let you know when a deal is coming, they're not going to let you sit on your thumbs and wait to take advantage of it. They want to have the thought of "either now or who knows when" firmly planted in the buyers psyche.. it's a timeless strategy that works even when people don't really want the product all that much, and as crystals are the #1 product in this game(based on what it can do and it's increasing value), the strategy is used to it's maximum potential.

It's just smart business.

maybe good for business but not for the game nor the players.

I have to disagree here, and not just because I love disagreeing(though that helps). Good business doesn't just make for good business, it's also a big part of why we even get to play this game. We're not here because a game called fallen sword tanked one cold November, we're here because HCS' business is doing well. Now we can look at all the people who miss their chance to buy some crystals at a discount every time deal day comes around(a day that need not even happen) and pound our fists into the air, but HCS doesn't get payed with fairy dust and good intentions.. their job is to make a better(not always best) product and their incentive is selling it.

Ahhh but the poor players, no no no.. not as poor as you might think, they benefit also. The amount of crystals hitting the market matters but what also matters is how quickly they hit the market, if a large clump of crystals is being bought on deal day then that's more people with crystals who are now more likely to buy credits and better yet they have them ready to sell to the crystal buyer all at around the same time(very important). I could almost guarantee the price for crystals would be more in the 15-20k range right now if HCS didn't employ the use of a little "smart business" every now and then.
