*-just as a sort of side note to other players- what kind of original items would you make if that were possible?

i haven't read all the other posts in this section of the forum, so forgive me if someone has already suggested this: i think that it would be really cool if players could use the assembly to make their own items/ blueprints with equipment, resources and/or components (or even mission items like how assembling a scout scope uses 2 data box mission items)

You do realize that this would be a full-time job for a cow to administer the oversight on this? I'll start with what I'm making:
I'm going to invent Hooftest's gear.
As an aside, we know why the level 68 creep tested out as being fine.... lol.

I think it's a nice idea, but I think that it will stay just that. I actually have absolutely no idea how much it would multiply our work by, I can only tell you that it would be a LOT. All the armor has to be drawn, as well as the items and blueprints unless you want to see armors that look the same but have different names and stats (which I think would make the game boring). I'm not a programmer i'm just an artist so I couldn't even tell you if it was possible to program or not. My guess is it's a lot of work for little reward. I think it's a viable idea for a 3d mmo that only puts out expansions every year or so, but for a browser based game that is trying to put out updates every week.. I think it's a bit too much!
There are a lot of ideas we have that are really cool that we will put in the game as it evolves! But we don't wanna put all our cards on the table at once (because thats boring too!) You will just have to keep playing to find out what we do ;D

To identify some difficulties with this--
1) -- It would require either.. a complete stripping of the current STAT programming..
or
2) -- It would end up being a catastrophe as certain items would just be VASTLY superior to most others.
It is a REALLY cool idea -- but, artwork aside -- it then becomes a 'resources' battle.. where non-Flux Crystal-purchasers would simply not stand a chance.... though, it would make for a great gold-sink.

I like the idea, i don't know what I would like to see from it, maybe just some kind of random chance to get somethig of value.

I know this would be hard for hcs, but possibly, each resource could give a certain number of stat points that could be assigned by the inventor. Blue prints could allow you to add more and more resources to items and allow you to make different sorts of items
