A Twist on 'Artifacts'

Simply put, I don't wanna see a clone of Fallensword in this area. Artifacts need to be something different here. This way they can be more beneficial to the faction that captures them. The idea I propose will be more interactive, fun and like I stated above; beneficial.

I would like to see the Behemoth concept on artifacts. Here's how it would work. With each new content release would come two new artifacts, with the rising level bonuses would be greater.

Level 1-20 content bonuses could be +5 att, damg +1 to each resistance and such. Level 120-130 could be +30 att, damg +5 to each resistance. You get what I mean.

The artifcats would have an HP or barrier. To destroy the barrier factions much work together to continuously hit it. Once the barrier is destroyed the faction with the most damage done gets the artifact. Or it could be the first faction to X amount of victories.

How much time would the faction have the artifact? I suggest that for every thousand HP or barrier point would equal one day. So for an artifact with 2k HP, if your faction destroys it first you get it for 48 hours. After that 48 hours the artifact would appear in the same area ready to be fought for again.

Just a thought. I think it would be kind of cool and give some more faction communication which is strongly needed.

i dissagree you have taken this from the behemoth and if its the faction with most kill small factions have no chance of getting one so i think it should be based off faction lvl certain artifacts can only be captures by faction of the lvl 3 to faxtions to the lvl x so that everyone can get a chance to get one not just one person over and over agiain and the lvl bonuses should be more special like xp gain credit gain and also stuff like energy gain per hour it make it more fair and interesting

Well the same concept goes here as the Behemoth. The more valuable the artifact is, the more desireable it will be. Large faction won't want/need a lvl 20 artifact, therefore they don't go for it leaving it open for smaller factions to take.

There could also be a level limit implied..something like the lowest lvl player in the faction would determine the level of artifact you can capture. Or maybe some sort of credit cost could be implied. I agree it would be difficult for smaller factions but it could be fixed...easily

We have various ideas regarding how to get them to work here. I am personally lobbying for these to get sorted soon. However, they have to be done properly.

Nobody likes the idea? Thought it would be kind of cool. I do know that I want something different from FS...too easy and really boring

It's interesting...but instead of having you attack the ARTIFACT, why not have you attack the members of the faction holding the artifact? They would all have to be in pvp zones then. Maybe you would have to attack any member of the faction who is holding the artifact 20 (or more?) times per person they have in the area (in level range). You would have to make it so that even if people are offline, they show up on the map, if you get killed while defending the artifact, you stay where you are instead of going back to the cloning center, and you would have to reduce the time in between kills. There would also have to be no safe zones in the area. MAYBE also a limit on how fast people can move from square to square and increase the level range that people can attack for artifact control. If the faction who has the artifact doesn't have anyone in the area, they lose control and whoever attacks the artifact next gets it for their faction.

Your way is awesome too, it just seems like it would be exactly like the Behemoth. This way you get pvp involved, as well as the faction.
