Stats of SR Flayer, a level 100 enemy. (these are the max stats)
Armor- 397.
HP- 324.
Armor+HP = 721.
Attack- 251.
Defence- 178.
Damage- 95.
Total- 1245.
Stats of Elder Ullgath Warrior, the level 125 enemy. (also max stats)
Armor- 278.
HP- 373.
Armor+HP = 651.
Attack- 252.
Defence- 282.
Damage- 170.
Total- 1355.
And yet, the game definitely doesn't seem any easier now that entities have barely gotten any skill points (if you add them up, the level 125 enemies have only 110 more stat points than the level 100 enemies, a less than 10% increase while our gear has gotten 25% better!). In retrospect, how did we ever 1-hit them when they had such high stats and we had such comparatively weak equipment? The only major difference is that now, entities have about 100 more damage, which suddenly means that defense and armor come into play. (this also disproves that notion that there's a constant ratio of total stat points that entities and players should have) And now that armor is necessary, the game has been totally changed. If HCS did this back in level 100, I don't think anybody would make it through that level. With one small tweak, they've made it so much more challenging...
What do you think?

Very good observation
It looks like our voices are being heard and things are becoming a little more difficult for those that use core items heavy on att/dmg..Its great that Armor and Defense come more into play, i would be very happy if the next step was Elite sets with more interesting tweaks like high resistances to certain damage types.

I actually think having enough armor/hp to survive 1 hit is more efficient set up vs high def if you are not a purist with MS.

What about monster's enhancements and resistances?

Those have barely (or may not have) gone up- every monster I've ever seen has had resistances and enhancements in the 2-4% range.
