Ok, so you started a guild and find out you didn't make it; or you decided to buy a structure upgrade and really need the crystals now since the Cows did something new and interesting.

Here's what I'm proposing and would like to get some feed back to give to the cows:

1) That the crystal "Bank" in the faction upgrade section should be set up like the bank for the faction. You can deposit crystals in but only withdraw them if you have permission. This way if you have crystal(s) that are needed elsewhere the faction founder can get them out (or whomever has permission).

2) In the case your guild doesn't make it or you decided that you didn't need 20 structure upgrades; that you would get a portion of the crystal investment back. (Yes I did say a portion because the whole idea is for the cows to make some money but would allow us to recoup a mistake if we made one.) So here's the example (since I'm in the middle of it) my guild is folding out. 2 of us have spent over 1K crystals in the faction. Now I'm not looking for a full refund. We've had fun and knew that crystals would be lost. But it would be great to have some form of return for items that we are now closing out. So I look at this for those guilds that start up but cant make it or like mine just not enough players to make it worth while or a major faction that hit purchase one to many times.

Any thoughts and comments would be appreciated.

I get it, but I think that it should be more like a 20% refund on overall donated crystals to the faction founder if they want to close up shop. Only cause it might help keep some people in the game... This goes back to another thread though about increasing requirements to make a faction... TONS of people make factions not realizing the full cost to make it successful. An initial cost to do so or at least a higher level would help a lot with this.

Mixed feelings on this one.

For the part about the UNUSED balance of fc in the faction, I have always thought they should be withdrawal enabled to the founder only. The only reason not to is to sink fc which is a profit item for HCS.

For the already paid for upgrades being refundable. I'm a no on that one. I can see the benefit to a few individuals. But, I guess I feel like one should look before they leap. I think it's fair for HCS to consider the fc sunk from the game at some point. I see no difference between a faction and an individual in this matter. You buy the upgrade and then don't like it, you are stuck with it imo.

I don't see a point in having an accessible faction bank. Just use your founders/co founders to hold it for you and make sure you/they don't spend it on anything they shouldn't. Maybe keep a tab of everything for your faction in your datapad.

As for the second suggestion I don't like that either. I've know quite a few players to make a good faction, and invest about 2k+ FC into it then they either retire or are terminated. The players left in it (that may have done nothing) will be promoted to founder and can destroy everything, take the FC and run.

I don't think we need to turn factions into real life cities. With buildings today you use implode them, take the rubble and recycle most of it. I don't think we should able to recycle FC..but that's just me

Altare - you and I both know we can have the founder or some other trusted person hold the fc and many factions do this. But, quite honestly, that isn't as "transparent" and if you were new in a faction and didn't really know the founder you might prefer to deposit to the faction. While it could still be "stolen" at least the entire faction could see it then. Only reason I think the faction fc bank should be open to the founder is for this reason. That way there is perfect transparency to all fc in the faction. I would even feel more comfortable with that tracking mechanism for the fc I hold for my faction. I'm not running off with them and my faction knows it. But, I'd still rather have a public record of them.

I obviously agree with you 100% on the structures.

Yea I do see what you're saying. It does take time to build trust especially if you don't know the founder and are just meeting them so for that reason and that reason only should this be considered

One of the advantages that I see with being able to with draw FC is it would cure a future problem seen in.......................Wait for it. Sorry, FS where once a guild reaches a certain level there is nothing to spend FSP on so it sits in the bank wasting the players donation. The same issue will eventually show up here.

I don't get why we can't withdraw unused fc already.

But being able to get back fc that you already spent is a bad idea. Would be way too easy to abuse.
