dont you guys think you made these behemoths way to easy? they are as easy to kill as the regular creeps i hunt and im level 48 i can one hit them 40% of the time, i just soloed 63 of them and never died, dont you think they should be tough enough to even give level 100+ a challenge?

It's a lvl 50 behemoth, not lvl 100 behemot ;) Lvl 100+ players will have a challenge when the corresponding behemoth is released :)

But you can't kill it all by yourself. Defeating it once only takes a point of base HP off it, you have to keep attacking him before you can properly kill him.

Argh Zaelin, you got his point here :/ Your answer was "technically correct", but you are not answering grantslego's true concern here…

Well it wasn't a "blunder" it was intentional, a behemoth is not like a normal creature. Plus he didn't mention if he was wearing flux gear or not.

Hehe, I have first to go and check in my dictionary what means "blunder"...but anyway, I think that the best answer one could have given to grantslego would perhaps be to compare a behemoth fight with a figth between an ant and a human: it's -really- easy for an ant to bite a human and then withdraw without being hurt. That doesn't kill the human, of course, but if that same ant can bite him 3000+ times, well, that's another story ^^ Of course one could argue that the human could crush the ant 2999 times (3000-1, as the first time the ant would probably be unnoticed;)), but that too is another story...

Now regarding the fact that grantslego didn't say if his items were fluxed or not: that's the BIG mystery of SS2 so far: can you play the game without fluxed items (I'm ready to believe that), and if yes…is it still fun (and there I would be –really– surprised if it was the case ;)). So in other words, if grantslego was unfluxed, well, congratulation! That was indeed something to "hit" that monster several times with “usual” items ;)

We make sure you can play the game with common items, it's a bit more challenging sure, but if you manage your healthpacks and stims properly its not much of a chore. Flux gear is quite easy to get hold of especially if your in a faction. I have sold needed items for flux which I pay for my elite set off the Trade Hub, then I sell it again and get my crystals back for the next set.

You are clearly a magician, because here at the top 2 faction, we can barely get back an average of only 20% of the flux we invest :(
...but that is off-topic ;)

Good point)
You will never get FCs for next elite lvl set from selling your old one.

they are all core, no set bonusses, and no stims, most of the items i use are lower 20s to lower 30s

I don't know what to say (except “congratulation!”) :/ OK OK, let's say that if you can continue this way until AFTER lvl 83, then I will remove ALL my comments regarding the fact that this game is not possible without FFed items :)

Actually, you can continue this forever from what I can tell. However, you can't keep up with what you need for "free". After level 80 or so you would need 2-3 complete sets per 10 levels to successfully level. There is no way to pay for this out of leveling funds anymore at about that point. I don't know if that's a problem or not but that's how it seems to work.

You will repair more often and die a bit more, but the best core gear available for the stats you need does work unengineered still. Remember most gear is 4 stat gear so engineering is only adding 13-15 per stat. I don't want to slow myself down that way but it is possible. With the change in costs implemented you can probably get away with doing this through level 110-120 or so for "free".

I'm defining "free" as being able to get all the gear out of leveling profits after paying a reasonable faction tax.

As for the Behemoth - it is supposed to be relatively easy to kill for anyone that can get in the realm. So not a blunder but by design. The difficulty is not in killing it but in acheiving the most kills.

Personally I think virtually every elite in the game is already underpowered, so it doesn't surprise me in the slightest if the Behemoth is also.

As for fluxed gear? I think you'll find that 95% of players use fluxed gear without exception. And of course you won't get your money back on Elite gear, because very few people are willing to pay 50+FC for a full elite set, whether it's fluxed or not. While my using my core gear I usually manage to get about 60-70% of my FC investment back.

I have only used elite sets since level 80 to level the 10 level sets (with 86-89 being an exception). I usually FE a core set on the elite level to be able to solo the next elite until I can get that set. If I were not trying to solo the elite I suspect I could complete 10 levels with on set of FE gear....

As for returns, they are diminishing and eventually will will have to cough up some cash to keep your new gear fluxed.

acidic - that was 2-3 sets if you DON'T FE it. Now, being able to ignore defense and armor it might be different - but with mobs switching what stat they have... I don't think anyone without MS can use just 1 set anymore and get by successfully. Particularly not one that isn't FE'd.
