Actual NPC dialogue

As it stands you only ever see dialogue in missions, and when you have a mission with two or more points on the screen (like the scarecrow one with the mound and Garion) only one of them will show text, and the other will be completely speechless. Is it possible for HCS to change that and add most dialogue, since with the current system a mission can only display one message at once. I don't like seeing half of the characters apparently dead whenever I do a mission, and having all of them never speak a word ever again once a mission's completed.

Staying with the scarecrow mission example, Garion tells you to go plant the scarecrow, and he will not ask you if you've put the scarecrow there (in fact he won't say anything at all as if he's dead) until you actually go and put it there.

I don't know how hard this would be to code since both FallenSword and SS2 have always run on the exact same 'missions say one thing at a time' system.

I think what he means is that map icons should have mouseover dialog that progresses with he missions.

Yeah, and text when you stand on them. Stuff like this is in just about every other RPG in the world...

to remind me of my status in a mission i refer to the mission log under the character tab

something else i did was make a Garion sock puppet for my non-mouse hand

painted a little Garion face on it - during one mission he would occasionally scream at me "you put the ******** scarecrow on the ********* mound yet *********??!!!"

my Garion sock puppet sounds like Samuel Jackson from "Pulp Fiction"

My garion sock puppet was an alcoholic... his mouth was always wrapped around a beer.
