Totally amazed at how I can have top armour heaps of buffs and stims and STILL get smashed for low damage over and over. What am I doing wrong or is the game a weeeeee bit too biased?
Totally Amazed

Apparently the armor is doing it's job. You say you only get hit for a small amount of damage right? The damage formula is NOT copied from that other game. There is a component of damage that penetrates armor no matter what. That part of the damage can be reduced by resistance to the damage type....

Did you repair your armor after several attacks ??
If not, maybe it is the main problem of it.
Once I died by attacking level 21 mob when I was hunting drops, and at that time I was level 100+.
I forgot to repair my armor and let them reduced to 20/100.

Entities get an automatic damage boost equal to their level divided by three.
For example, a level 150 enemy would always hit for 50 if you had infinity armor but no resistances.
If you had 100 armor and the entity had 110 damage, you would get hit for 60, since the 10 and the 50 would stack. (assuming 1 point in armor = 1 point in damage)

This seems to be close but there's some variance to this. It's close enough unless you can't afford a few extra HP of damage here or there.
