the suggested thread would be like:
-don't expect advrtising/new player flooding until levels upto 250 are out.
-we will implement the repair kits within 6 months time.
-we will never have some sort of a PvP/dungeon/creature kill mission in a side map event. so stop dreaming.
-the mercs should be coming in 2 months.
-the defense sets for lower levels will never be implemented. for higher levels will be considered beyond lvl 200.
-new behemoth/HK/artifacts will be considered in our spare tim. don' expect anything soon.
-we will go through class skills when our scedule is completely free. it is estimated to be aeround year 2020.
note that the gven dates are far from now not only to emphasize players' expectations of nothing interesting happening in the ext 6 months but actually to point out this:
we want to be able to see forward. what will happen to the game in the next year? will you try to make it more viable or just give up on it when times get tough? what should we be expecting from you, other than a short "content due tomorrow" one day before HCS implements it, or a home page msg with "game going down in 10 mins" just a few hours beforehand..
would be nice imo.. :|

That's what the thread is SUPPOSED to be, the cows just need to update it once in a while.

Here's to hoping it will be revived then, afterall we have to give them a prod in the right direction every now and then or we sometimes slip under their radar...

That thread is like a proverbial junk drawer for the forum...http://forum.sigmastorm2.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3842
I do like the idea of having some set weekly/biweekly/monthly communication between the devs and players though. The devs could set a specific time during their office hours to actually answer questions players have. Would be like a news briefing. Let it last an 30 min, 45 min, an hour however long they want but at least some direct answers would be a result... I know I would be a much happier player. Would prolly expand the forum's player base.

I totally agree.
Also, my point here was to have regular updates on what is and what isn't happening. Somehow it seems that HCS is completely avoiding informing us on the new developments when there is a lack of them. (ie. no posts from HCS unless they have something they are planning to immediately implement.)
The flow of regular information from their side should inform us if there isn't going to be something coming up soon. This is I believe very important, since I believe most of us to be more frustrated by being kept in the dark then lack of new content etc..

I've been ringing that bell forever to no avail. If there was a pattern of constant, honest feedback on the development of content people wouldn't get upset when things went wrong on occasion. Because there's never any word until we gripe, there's a tension that doesn't need to be there affecting the entire relationship. Phurie (not even on SS2 team) often comes in to try to salvage this. zaelin tries but is totally busy on content or now training her new slaves (
I think having varkaz and BG in here (each) a couple times a week putting feedback in threads and honestly advising us as to eta for content and other things would make things infinitely better. I think the cows need to learn that it isn't so much the pace of content and other improvements that creates the griping it is the absolute lack of knowledge about if it will be this week or in 4 weeks. If we always had an idea we'd be ok with "damn guys, not happening Friday but Monday or Tuesday" and even every now and then "server issues are going to put us behind by a while - we'll let you know when content is imminent". Without the information flow though there is... tension.... And players aren't wrong to be upset because they are in the dark and can't get answers.
