Let's say that everyone in a faction is inactive but for me and the founder.

Now let's say that the founder becomes inactive, I can't get the guild mutiny to work because all of the members are inactive, the Faction wastes data space.

My proposal: 80% of the faction members must agree, so if there are inactive members, subtract them from the percentage. Let's say there are 10 members in. 5 are inactive, subtract them so that 80% can be reached from the active 5%.

I've looked it up and something like this takes little to moderate coding.

It shouldn't increase lag. I can only see a few minor setbacks. Nothing worth mentioning, if the inactive members don't become active again that is.

This also brings me to deleting Factions that are completely inactive.

Though I don't think that this is an option.

Simple, short, and moderately time consuming.

Plus if you delete inactive Factions make sure that there aren't any large amounts of FC involved.

If you're deleting factions, then any players that donated fc to the factions should get the fc back. Other than that, I like this just fine.

maybe not deleting, but i like the idea of the faction XP lock being more of an XP "hold"

IMO the faction xp should be allowed to - decay - if a faction goes inactive

1% per week, maybe - just throwing out a number

this wouldn't affect the FC contributed for upgrades, just the xp, which could always be built up again

If the players are inactive, why do they need the FC back?

In case they come back. Not all inactives are gone for good.

Interesting development we have here.

Now maybe you could....I don't know, put "completely" inactive Factions on a hide list or take them off the list entirely, however with them still existing.

Hey, nobody can join the Faction anyway if the recruiters are inactive.

This is basically to help search for Factions with ease, I hate searching for one and seeing one with a single inactive player. And usually you can tell they are gone for good because they named the Faction something ridiculous.

I'm just saying "Cater to the needs of the active players for now."

When the inactive players come back, they'll be active, they'll get their cut of the booty before it's buried.

i thought when you wanted to mutiny against an inactive founder, the inactive players in the faction don't count towards the vote percentage.. ie. if you're the only active player in the faction you can just become the founder through mutiny (because you're vote is 100% effective), or your vote counts 50% if there are only 2 active players etc..
are you sure this is not the case? if it isn't it should be and i agree with you.. :)

I don't think it is. I tried it before.
