Lots of Players Don't play Sigmastorm2 because it to much like Fallensword. I personally think its basically the same but with just a few tweaks, You need to repair your gear a repair bays, re-amp your HP on a repair bay, gain skill points through missions. I liked the idea of having to work for items. Now creatures just drop them like they do in Fallensword. Soon Elites and Hunter Killers (HK) will be dropping sets.

PLEASE HUNTED COW STUDIOS Make Sigmastorm2 different then Fallensword. If you wanted it like Fallensword you should have named it Fallensword 2 and NOT Sigmastorm 2.

Games are just those types can be choose.
If you want a 100% different game, sorry I can say- it is hard.

Final Fantasy are very similar from level 1~6, and level 7~12.
Diablo 1~2.
Starcraft.
Warcraft.
Might and Magic 1~10.
NBA series.
Especially shooting game and racing game, all looks the same.

I think SS2 is quite different with Fallensword.
From repair system, Evo. points distribution, effect of equipment's durability, and the photograph of what you wear.
Different enough.
Because they are designed by SAME company.

......
And I don't think Elite and HK will drop items in the future.
Unless the blueprint base system is removed.
Or increase the hard drop rate of Elite and HK : 2 drops of resources, and tons of drops for core equipments. (if really do so, then a HK set will cost 1000FC per piece.)

But seems what ever goes into Fallensword ends up in Sigmastorm2.

example: Loyalty Points. that came in Sigmastorm2. About a week later its in fallensword.

I wouldn't mind having them in both games. But perhaps a different name and different ideas on how to get them.

I bring this up because maybe some changes could be made that would probably bring in more players to Sigmastorm2

I've raised before the issue of assuming that because it works in one place it needs to work in another. I think that battle is basically lost though. We'll see a few things different but the model has morphed into being the same for both games.

you seem to have things the wrong way round here...

you complain that sigma just has all elements of FS brought into it, and then to support this you talk about an element that FS took from this game.

I think that the ONLY thing that has been ADDED to sigma from FS (note please the word ADDED, I'm perfectly aware that they come from basically the same template) is the Titan hunting, but even that has been tweaked for here, not dropping an epic item like in FS, but the means to make one, with a bit more work.

Oh, and as for

Lots of Players Don't play Sigmastorm2 because it to much like Fallensword.

I believe thats the wrong way round too. players that came from FS were used to the EASINESS of FS, they came here, EXPECTING it to be the same-ish, and were scared away cos they had to use their brains and THINK about hunts, when to go to the repair spot, etc.

I know this as I've been here from day 1, and spoke to a lot of these people.

So yes, this may be a LITTLE like FS, but if so, its an FS for thinking people, who prefer not just hitting keys for an hour, but actually having to think about it. In FS all you have to think about is gear and buffs before your hunt, then mindlessly press 1 through 8, then r over and over again, til out of imps or stamina.

OK Rant over.....

Well said - this is far more "involved" than FS is now - over there you can pretty much wear the same gear for many levels, get the same buffs EVERY hunt and know you'll come out on top without much, if any, dying. FS is getting, unfortunately, dumbed down WAY too much.

THAT'S why I like SS2 - you actually have to stop and think about new monsters, work out what will work, what won't work - and not just power-level thru.

Plus, the story line here is infinately superior (kind of hard not to be tho, given there isn't one as such in FS LOL)

Homer : Marge, don't discourage the boy. Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals .. except the weasel.

Eddie Izzard : The National Rifle Association say that guns don't kill people, people do. But I think the gun helps, you know ? I think it helps. I think just standing there going "BANG" - that's not going to kill too many people, is it ?

I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but it seems that everything I eat lately turns to poo ...

I don't see the difference anymore. I would have agreed 100 levels ago. I ask for the same buffs every hunt, strap on the same gear and do the same thing. I guess on occasion I have to repair at a higher durability than others. Haven't changed my leveling gear in 4 months now....

Putting that into perspective tho, unfortunately, there's not exactly been a glut of new content released in the last 4 months ? - 30 levels is it ? (if that). I know i've changed my gear since then, but not massively, i must admit. But, the general "theme" of my post was that SS2 is still more "involved" and "complex" than FS is - where there its pretty much just buff, drink potions, hit 1-8, repeat, recharge .. repeat again.

I have all but lost interest in FS. It is much too "Wash, Rinse, Repeat" for my taste. I play casually but it is kind of mind numbing. SS2 is different in that hunting isn't just an everyday chore you do without thinking much. You have to have the right gear and buffs and make sure your gear is repaired. SS2 is also different in that generally the entire community is nicer. In FS there is so much bickering and spamming that you rarely see in SS2. Just my 2 cents.

SS2 is very different from FS, FS is just a big long broken record, playing everything again.
Using the same gear, killing monsters with a few changes in stats. Nothing interesting.

SS2, you don't have all of the buffs that FS has, many of which cause FS to be boring.
You have to repair, or remember to buy and use the repair bots.
Get a new Weapon every level, or every other level cause of stats.
No free PvP over the game, only some areas or in SF(one of the things I more dislike about this game)
More interesting way of getting some gear, other then just killing some monsters to get your gear.
Only thing I wish game had more of is gear for my level, bored of going in SF and AH and finding the same gear over and over again.(need more common gear!!)

More common gear would be a waste of time for devs and artists since Assassin was introduced. Until that, there was a ton of good gear to switch between - and it was used. As for it being FS that has "using the same gear", I've found no reason to change my set for 55 levels. I have now played the last 23% of the game in the SAME gear. That means I've had it on for 8 months or so.

If HCS doesn't toss a 2-hit mob (common required for mission) soon, it will basically feel like FS with repair. The beauty of this game was that in the first 50-70 levels we ran into mobs that required 2-hits to kill. Maybe not anymore with KR, CR and the better stats on gear and buffs - but when the game played as it was designed there were some nasty @$% levels. Would love to see those come back. Would love to have to send my creds away to be safe hunting. Would love to get forced out of my level 190 set....
