Just like all things in life things , always boild down to communication. The SS2 home page has been changed to reflect the need to not miss any important informational posts from HSC...The Admin team posted the pending down time well over a day ago and then posted a reminder for us again today before the outage..."planned maintenance about 6 hours down time.", or something similar. HOWEVER...now on the game splash screen...since the outage began ( nearly 2 hours ago I think as of the time of this post) it states estimated return time is 4 am BST which still 9 hours from now as of this post...this is not even close to what we were told...my point here is this...good job COWS on the communication, bad job on the continuity of the info provided.

Cry me a river...

rather than trying to illicit a pointless and misguided response from anyone ( I was not seeking sympathy or pity...so "cry me a river" hardly seems relevant) ...I was trying to draw attention to an on going issue that effects us all or at lease all of us who like and wish to improve the game., in this case clear and accurate information ...the forum is a place to share ideas in an attempt to improve things.

Whatever you are "looking for" it is quite simple... play or don't play!
You don't like the fact HCS doesn't do things you like, well the answer is simple. Now it is up to you. How do they win with complaints like this? They will never. I disagree with HCS often but I have a much bigger problem with players complaining about mundane things, this is an easy call... Keep posting useless threads. I'm done.

glad you are done..makes my constructive criticism much less cluttered. I agree , this may not be , on the surface, THE most important game related issue....BUT it actually effects all thing game related, GOOD communication is the key to everything in this game ( and outside the game as well...i.e real life). AND this is such a simple thing to fix, no coding, no meetings, no cost related solution, no server upgrades...just , as a business that is customer service based ,be more aware of what you say , how you say it and when you say it ...good simple communication. I think you have made more out of this than need be. My observation was a valid and accurate one, it was not a matter of my opinion , the mis-communication is a fact.( the example I gave in the original post is a fact)... also while this is technically a complaint it was posted in an effort to help the game and the admin...as apposed to thread crapping which serves no constructive purpose. I rarely post since I do feel that many just post , well simply to post something...but this had a valid purpose, sorry that it was lost on you . Sorry if we don't see see to eye...you indicated that you disagree with HSC often...mundane is a matter of opinion...but they need to be made aware of things and I have done so with both respect to them and also to you ...and thats what the forum is for....happy to disagree ( or agree as the case maybe ) with ya any time...different ideas is part of what makes life interesting ...and sometimes we learn stuff =)

I'd hardly call it broken communication. The update took long but that's because a huge amount of work was done, making the game run much more smoothly. Hoofmaster has been in for 22 + hours working on this with our Server guys.
