anyone else feel uncofortable with view angle? you can move camera left right, zoom in and out which is good, but i say would be very good if we can move up and down too, i believe having this extra option will make game much enjoyable.

Page up/Page down tilt if you prefer not to use the mouse, other wise hold right click to rotate around.

The Up/Down is the issue; it won't go down enough to see in front of you and it gets stuck in that birdeye view that is so annoying...

I also agree. I would like more of a view to see infront of my character. Instead of viewing from the top. It is quite annoying.

Agreed. The camera doesn't quite move freely enough to really get a good look at what's going on around you.

Also, I think it would be better to be able to open doors from both sides, not just from the side your character is at. With the limited view angle it's quite the hassle to open a door if you're standing close to it.

At the moment this is constrained by performance. We could maybe add a few more degrees but as the camera gets much lower you start to see alot more polys on the screen. This is another thing that the future addition of a hardware renderer ( currently the game uses a software renderer ) will help significantly.

This would be great, imo.

I get it, but guys, you have to do it. Right now is quite painful to play the game because:

- due to limited view angle you can't see who or what is attacking you; I was killing wolves earlier and I couldn't tell when another one was jumping on my toon (or the annoying elite).

- running around is not easy and you're forced to keep the map opened all the time and use it as guide while completely ignoring the scenery/areas you're going through; which is a shame 'cause why bothering to create such a vibrant landscape if ppl won't see it, right? :)

So I'm sorry if this is putting even more pressure on you guys, but you have to sort it out 'cause it has the potential to scare players away (for ex I've stopped playing Talisman for the same reason).

Won't it be possible for people to manually enable/disable the possibility that the camera goes low? Those who have trouble with performance on their computers may want to disable it, while those with no performance issues may want to enable it.

The ones with performance issues might even decide to lower the frame rate in favour of having a lower camera position, but that's their choice of course. :)

I understand that this is a complicated issue, but I just want to add my voice here: the view angle has bothered me a lot and since the very first minutes in the game. Also, maybe it's me who read the "camera tutorial" too fast, but all I read was about the WASD camera control—I read nothing about the Page Up/Page Down + right-click/drag to control the camera. I had to come over to the forum to get that part. But, as I said, I may have read that tutorial too fast.

I was happy to discover the right-click + drag control, but I was kinda disappointed when I noticed it doesn't get much more frontal. In the current view angle, it feels a bit claustrophobic, kinda like you feel there are more things to see but the camera just doesn't allow you to see it. I'm not very far in the game, but I can also see how it can be problematic in combat.

Good luck sorting that one, guys—and keep up the good work!

Up down left right arrows should be for moving the camera.

Mouse wheel for zoom, and right click drag for faster movement than arrow keys.

Take Runescape as an example, their camera system is pretty much how Eldevin's should be!

I'd also like options to be able to bind hotkeys to certain views (top down, looking ahead etc)

I agree, the camera angle is bothering me than anything.  Especially in a small building, I find myself frustrated at trying to find a decent viewing angle.  And this problem is multiplied using a laptop touch pad.

+1 on being able to open doors by clicking on both sides.
