Now granted yes you were taken advantage of because you didn't know the price. But as a seller it is up to you to accept what an item sells for. Feel better that it could of been a much harder lesson to learn though.

Geach, there was more to the incident than that - this player was ripped off after agreeing on a mutually agreed price, and then when the trade took place he was given far less. But I agree, it is a lesson in trust.

When trading items, first concult Crace for the price it is fully worth

Crace doesnt set prices. The traders set prices. You say you got ripped off? well shop about, read through the countless trading threads on the forum. Just because you are too lazy to read through and find the best deal for yourself doesnt mean that traders are rip off merchants. Knowledge is power, and from what i have just read you had no power cause you had no knowledge. Now knowledge isnt hard to get, a little reading and you will be all the wiser.
Well done chunkey, and well done pheonix. They knew their game and played it right.

It's one thing to bid low and get someone to agree to it. That's part of the game. To agree to a price and then pay less is something quite different. You should give a negative rating under the quality traders sticky if that is what happened. My sympathies, friend.
Why give a negative rating? Both parties agreed on price and trade was completed. There is no reason for a negative rating. This game isnt hard to learn. READ! ya might learn something

if you think i was going to rip you off you better wake up mate
Yes ihave had my share of trouble with ripping people off but your a fricken noob who stole a drop.
I offered you 100K and thats what i was going to give you.
you backed out on my deal and went with Chunky's deal for a mil and you did get ripped off. so how do i get brought into this as i was going to rip you off. maybe before you speak you should open your eyes.
Everyone knew what was going to happen between you and Chunky saw it a mil away.
Now Shiek if you make a deal and you say yes to it stick with dont back out because, o someone gave you a better deal. you had already said yes to the deal of 100K then Chunky offer 1Mil.
Learn to look for things before you speak up about stuff.

i totally agree with the others, take the time to look up what the item is worth, and if u do a trading thread make sure u have put in it,
'i reserve the right not to sell any items where the price doesn't meet my standard'
that saves u from selling something way under offered!

LOL - no don't ask me. Look on the forum or the Trading Post.

If you had read Crace's quote, my friend, you would have noted that the issue was not a low agreed upon price, the problem was that the buyer gave less than what was agreed upon. That is why I suggested it be posted in the forum. I am all for getting whatever you can for what you're selling and for getting whatever you want as cheaply as you can, as long as you don't rip somebody off by giving them less than you agreed to pay. That is what my post was about. If I misinterpreted Crace's remarks, then I will gladly retract my earlier statement about giving a negative rating in the quality traders section.

That's not getting "ripped off" that's you making a bad deal. Getting ripped off includes dishonesty and/or theft. Or someone not honoring a deal. People make stupid deals all the time in Gothador, myself included. But you can't blame other people for that. When trading items, first concult Crace for the price it is fully worth

Now, should he have told you it's worth more than that, and given you more? Yes. Should you do business with him again? Probably not. But getting ripped off is different than selling something under value.

are you not reading what he said?
they agreed to 1 mil gp
he got 100k gp
this is not honoring the original deal
this is being ripped off by your definition
right?

if you make a deal and you say yes to that bid Stay with it dont leave one player for another after you have already agreed to a set price. So in theroy you got my bidding price. Because the Dynamite was returned to me.
Moral of the story Dont back outta deals after you ahve already said yes to a previous bid

wanna know the moral of the story dont drop steal from anyone and you wont get any problems
no matter what, if you make a trade saying you will give $1M and u only give $100k, it doesn't matter if it was drop stolen from you, you agreed to pay and reneged. you admit you went into the deal looking for revenge, and jagged/phoenix's post confirms it. if you don't want your drops stolen phoenix, you're big enuf to get quickgrab.
Shiek, the TRUE lesson here - get ur money before you ST the item, especially if you're selling to someone (or a friend/cultie of someone) you drop stole from. I do agree that you should keep to your deal with the first winner, but once i got a pm bid i didn't see b4 i contacted the person i thought was the winner. I contacted him again about the higher bid, and he was cool about it. Lots of people are cool in this game. I hope u have better luck in the future, and if you did drop steal, i hope you won't do it again (unless someone steals your kill).
