Hopefully you have all read the email that was sent this morning regarding future updates, if you haven't please do so now.

In the email it says:

Eldevin Points : Purchase Eldevin points at a rate of $1 per 100 Eldevin points.

The conversion rate between USD:Eldevin Points is pleasing and should stay at this rate, it's easy to calculate in your head since 1 Eldevin point is equal to 1 penny. However, the problem lies within the premium shop.

1x Large backpack = $20, which is not extremely expensive by itself but once you consider having to buy 4 of them... I would even go so far as to say large backpacks aren't big enough, and that's when I didn't pay anything for them. To me there are only two options, you either have the biggest bags available or don't bother with it at all, the efficient mentality. But can you justify $20 for 36 inventory spaces? Maybe, because you are probably thinking that it's a permanent item, which is true. But also consider this, how would you feel if you bought 4x large backpacks for $80, and then an even bigger bag is released. So now what do you do? Destroy $80 worth of bags and spend another $100 on these new bags? Would it be acceptable to 'upgrade' your bags by paying the difference? Or do you feel that you shouldn't have to pay anything when a bigger bag is released because you bought the previous 'biggest bag'?

Subscription : A monthly subscription of £4.99/€5.99/$7.49 a month, this will grant you 350 Bound Eldevin points per month, with a bonus increase of 25 per month of continuous subscription (up to a max of 1000 points a month)

Now, you might say, "it won't cost you that much because with the membership you can get up to 1000 points for free per month if you continue your subscription". True, but wouldn't you like your bags the day of release? Okay so you bought membership and you got your free 350 Eldevin points (which is pretty sweet), you then calculate that you need another 7650 points so by the end of it you have spent $83.99 (assuming you can buy a custom amount of points and not a predetermined amount).

You don't know me but believe me when I tell you, I'm no Scrooge. I've spent much more for far less in the past and when I think about the price of these bags I get that same feeling.

I only used this one example because I feel that if I went through them all then this post would be so long that no one would read it. If you have made it this far, +1 internets to you and I appreciate you taking the time.

Would like to see the large bags the same size as the main or stash. The bags are almost an essential piece for collecting. Mine are usually full by the time I reach town. Kind of on the fence about the cost. Yes they are spendy. But they are also a permenant part of your gear. Would take a pretty good chunk of change to outfit your main and also the future bank stash slots. Add in several classes and your talking a major investment. But then spread that over several years and it does not seem so bad. Unless of course your going to school, have a wife to moan at you or kids to support. But then again beans don't taste all that bad. Wives are best if they belong to someone else. And kids don't really need shoes in the summer.

I think the prices and sizes of the bags aren't finalized and we also plan for you to be able to "upgrade" bags to the next tier, so that you are not out of pocket if you decide to go for bigger in the future. No ETA on this right now tho.

i agree 20$ for a singe bad seems a bit much to me. Id find like 5-10$ for one big bag a fair price but its only my personal scope. However things like upgrading bags or bags given as gift (e.g. a bound large bad for the first $-purchased month of premium and another bound large bag if you subscribe for 3 month right away) could help here.

I think a full set of large backpacks would be a great addition to the higher priced founders packs when they come out, maybe something like:

4x Large backpacks (possibly the first upgrade of bags free?)

5000 Eldevin points

3 months paid subscription

for around like $100 or so. I would definitely be interested in something like that. Those would be the 3 main things i'd want from a founders pack, anyway, just throwin that out there.

I've only been playing for 2 days mind you, so there may be a bit of ignorance here, but storage actually concerns me about this game. Banks are too far apart, item stacks are too small, the backpack storage is tiny after you get your axe, skinning knife, pickaxe, etc. in there, which most people aren't going to want to be without at any point. Assuming you only have the one bag, you can only do a task for 10 minutes before your inventory is completely full and then it's back to the bank, which is too far away most of the time. Most people aren't complaining right now too much but that's because they have all the extra storage from the cash shop bags. This is going to be a serious issue at release.

At a minimum, stack sizes need to be increased. A stack of 100 is basically an MMORPG standard, so stacks of 10 give the impression of greed. It makes the bags feel necessary to play the game rather than a convenience, aesthetic, or luxury item, as is the f2p creed, and then if you put an outrageous price on top of that, it's game over for many people. The trick to free-to-play it seems is convincing people that you're giving them a bargain, even though you're actually just selling them air. Then they keep coming back month after month with a small purchase here and there, and you've got a success on your hands.

Not trying to be a whiner. I'm really liking the game; seems very polished overall...

Thats why the use of sacks in bags is the best way to go. I have two of my 4 large bags filled with sacks for whatever needs to be stacked in them. Havent had trouble with space since putting in the sacks.

Bad link.  The visible number seems to be right (though it's awfully old) , but if you click on it, it goes to a different page.
