The Domestic Shigra are being farmed by only 3 players, at most and not including myself who also needs the wool, and there is not enough to go around.  For the past 20 minutes, every shigra I have checked has been depleted.  Leaving and coming back at a later time doesn't help either because people are still there trying to do the beginner farming quests and/or leveling up their skills (with no concern for others who need them for the quest).

And the Shigra north of Eldevin are of no legitimate help.

This is another crafting resources balance issue that should probably be addressed before the game goes live.

I know HCS said they would tweak spawn rates of ore, in a previous thread, as it is needed. Guess they will do the same with every resource, to include the Shigra etc.

Try one of the other farms.  Othalo and Northam farms only have 1 wool producer, and the farm south of Eldevin City has 2 wool producers.  Nidaros has 3 wool producers.  They respawn almost instantly, don't really see an issue with wool.

I just got around to this type of crafting again, and I found Northam Harbor's 1 working Shigra.  (Just north of Eldevin city, for those looking for it on the map.)

spent about 30 min tonight waiting for the wool to grow back.  No one else came to the farm I was at.  Got lots of poop and apples.  But no wool.  :(

I was at the Northam farm and they were "Domestic Shigra" with an option to sheer but the resource was always depleted

Head over to Northam Harbor; there's one Domestic Shigra there you can work with.

Since I don't really farm wool, I can say that there's 6-8 domestic shigras that produce about instant woolrespawns south of northam harbor near eldevin city walls. Hope it helps

Regardless of the fact that there are a few shigras scattered around that actually produce wool, there seems to be a bug in the respawn rate on most of them.  Or if it is intentional to just have  a few wool producting shigras, the option to shear the others should not show up, as it will be frustraing to new players once the game goes live.  Heck, it's already been frustrating me :P

Yep.  That's the one I was talking about.  The others nearby were all bugged when I was there.

HCS knows about the bug, they just haven't acknowledged it publicly to the playerbase.

Only 1 wool producing domestic Shigra in Nidaros, down from 3.

0/4 wool sheep in Othalo Farm.

1/4 wool sheep in Northam Farm.

1/4 wool sheep in Northam Harbor.

0/4 wool sheep in Waterbrook Farm (south of Eldevin City).

2/4 1/4 wool sheep in Greenreef Farm.

Yield between 5-10 wool before depletion (favoring the low end) with enough time to grab 1.5 piles of manure before wool respawn.

Short term fix would be to put Wool in the shop until they fix this bug. then you can continue to work on tailoring / etc.

Alchemy and Cooking can be farmed in this manner already (all materials are in shops).

Mythos general store.

Has anyone stopped to think that maybe the domestic shigra don't like being sheared and are evolving to prevent this from happening. o.O

sheep with no wool, then they should be mounts. at least then people wouldn't rage at them.
