We're just pushing build 3772 to the server this build includes

 

General
  • Made the two extra staircases in the Illaneska Barracks Basement functional.
  • Reworked the stats networking to be more efficient.
  • Item splitting now puts the item in your inventory automatically.
  • Added several low-level campfire flame modifiers.

Balance

  • Enchanted thread and Fine Thread now stack to 25, up from 20, to match similar skill items.
  • Reduced the cool down of Envenom.
  • Increased the cool down of Cauterize.

Bugs

  • Fix for the server maintenance message not displaying the correct shutdown time.
  • Fixed a location marker in the Adera Barrows.
  • When entering and exitting the Sydelle II you no longer reach forward to open an invisible door.
  • Fixed a bug with the Fishing Cast sound effect being very loud.
  • Fixed a bug where Item containers got destroyed accidentally when the stack was used up.
  • Fixed a bug with the Tutorial if the player quit or crashed while loading Eldevin Kingdom.
  • Fixed a bug in Nidaros Arena with creatures not resetting correctly after a failed attemp
  • Fixed a bug in Nidaros Area with ranged attacks not resetting the scenario correctly.
  • Fixed a problem with the Infernal Essence stats.
  • Fixed blessed shield increasing block and not dodge like the description indicates.
  • Fixed vault lift by adding levers to call the lift.
  • Item tooltip now always displays rarity.
  • Fixed Thrill of the Hunt not being displayed correctly when activated.

Quest

  • Royal Emblems now correctly stack to 3.
  • Changed the level requirement of "A Price in Blood" from 22 to the correct level of 23.
  • Fixed an issue with "The Favored Sheet" not asking for the correct item.

Dungeons

  • Othalo Guardhouse
    • Added boss barriers to The Guardhouse to stop Raelin being kited through the instance.
  • Ohdar Scar
    • Fixed the Ohdar Scar being set at the incorrect level in the Looking for Group system.

  • Secluded Valley

    • Fixed an issue with equipment and patrols in the Secluded Valley.
    • Improved the AI of the Wraith Snake.
    • Fixed a bug with the Dark Wraith activating his enrage too early.
    • Fixed a bug where the cannons during the encounter were not doing the correct damage.
  • Garai Coliseum
    • Fixed an issue causing the Giant Scorpion in Garai Coliseum not correctly summoning his minions.
    • Improved the Giant Scorpion AI.
    • Fixed all the patrol mobs in Garai Coliseum being at an incorrect level.
    • Increased Horus Living Flame explosion damage and radius.
    • Increase the duration of Horus's cage spell.
    • Improved the Horus's AI.

The basket and split fix is much appriciated. It was making it hard to grap another cup of coffee while cooking. On the plus side, it was improving my math skills and helping prevent the onset of alzhimer's. Now if you could just figure out a way to improve my spelling skills. Like automatic spell check for the forum.

Balance

  • Increased the cool down of Cauterize.

 

lol 45 sec Cooldown. You cant be serious. I am sure not a pro in combat situations so caut kept me alive many times. Without i now tried alot to survive with that tomb crawler  (at least 3 of them keep coming at you and a short respawntime). Fact is i didnt get to the end of the dungeon anymore so possible eldevin died for me cause of my lag of combat skills lol

 

btw who came up with the idea its not balanced?

The crypt will be tweaked to have lower respawn rates. I agree it's a little bit insane at the moment, if you stop to rest in the crypt you will likely die. This will be fixed in an upcoming build probably.

 

Or did you mean the mausoleum with the "tomb crawler" spiders? Anyway if you find an area which is too hard just submit a ticket and we can look at it.

Love the improved Scorpion Boss in Garai.  The little scorpion adds give the fight just what it needed, but they aren't despawning if the party wipes.  Not a big deal to kill them before trying again, but seems unintended.

 

Horus fight is more challenging, but only because of the extended stun.  Orbs still seem insignificant, tank can just kite boss if healer gets stunned.

 

Dark Prayer is still broken.  Does not heal caster or allies.

 

Last boss in Secluded Valley if you start the fight and use frostbite to snare and run away it will cause the boss to de-aggro and reset (dropping the movement barrier leading downstairs).  When the boss is reengaged the barrier fails to apply, so players can drag boss down stairs and avoid the cannon fire altogether.

 

As prophet, I don't mind the change to Cauterize.  Still works as a good panic button, and other sources of healing were enough to make it through updated Garai as party of 4 without proper tank (and without Dark Prayer, but as its a level 29 spell it shouldn't really be factored into a level 25 dungeon I suppose).

 

Gorilla during level 30 arena challenge in Eldevin City seems bugged.  He just stands there beating on his chest, it's kinda entertaining.  There is only one challenging wave of spider champions besides the final boss, everything else is very boring and drains the fun out of repeating the arena.

 

Dragon fight in Northam Thicket could use one improvement- a Tail Swipe, alternating flanks.  Causes some damage and knocks down players in  a cone from his tail to right front leg, then after a delay repeats the move but on the other side.  This would add a movement factor to the encounter, which is currently lacking for all but the tank (who can move to avoid lava).

Dark Prayer is still broken.  Does not heal caster or allies.

Sorry I thought it had made the build, it just missed out. It will be fixed in the next build.

Not sure if I should start a new topic about this, but I think this can go here.

After this build I keep getting disconnected of the game after a few minutes of login (5 minutes the most I've been connected); and most of the times when the game kick me, even my internet connection stops working for a short time (1 or 2 minutes).

I noticed this with previous builds (not always, but in rare occasions), but since I was running other aplications supposed that this could be the problem. But now I'm only running Eldevin and I'm getting the same issue four times in a row.

I use:

  • Windows 7 home premium 64 bits
  • Intel® Core™ i5 CPU         750  @ 2.67GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.7GHz
  • 8192MB RAM

 

  • Page File: 1328MB used, 15035MB available
  • ADSL Router.
  • Firefox, the last time I've been kicked with version 20.0.1, the previous ones (and previous builds) with version 19.0.2. Just when I was starting this post I've got an update announcement, and I've thought: "Well all the disconnection problems were due to the update downloading in second plane"; but after run the update (20.0.1) I keep getting the same problem.
  • Norton 360 Premium Edition.
  • I play with the fullscreen option of Eldevin and with the browser also in fullscreen.

I know that it's weird say tha Eldevin is disconnecting me from internet (only for 1 or 2 minutes), but how I've told before I've got the same several times; and if I don't run Eldevin my internet connection works fine.

 

And today I had more free time than usual :(

The 45 second cooldown now prevents Templars and Warriors from equipping an essence and spamming Cauterize to keep themselves alive. This effectively enabled them to solo things that probably shouldn't be soloable as well as negated the use of potions since healing yourself for 1200 or so a shot every 5 seconds was more then enough. With that being said the game hasn't died for you it just means you need to adapt and alter your play style somewhat so you're not relying on one spell to keep you alive all the time.

I switched to ranger since I can't use cauterize so much on my prophet :(

Favorite update is the sacks/baskets not getting destroyed when contents are used up. ^_^

Just let you know, today I've got the same issue, but only once and after 1 hour of gameplay; I've loged in again and I haven't got any problem.

I'll keep an eye into this issue, since seems it happens randomlly (even it could be something wrong with my PC or internet connection, tough it only hapens when playing Eldevin).
