Stick a blacksmiths Gem on there and you have
Def +20, mining +10, smelting +10!

I was only making the point that tunneler runes are out there and the obsession with greek rings is a bit sad, not ranting about it.
I'm also selling said runes so this could be in trading or items but as I'm pointing out their existance and that you can add a blacksmiths gem (also an item) means that its in items.
Thank you Gel, he and the rest of my cult know I'm not a clone.

If you're a warrior, you want the best damage boosts you can get, yeah?
The same goes for us miners.
Tunneler Runes have been around for over a year now, so any decent miner that wants the best boosts they can get in a mining / smelting set should already have one in their inventory to use.
However, that doesn't mean that we shouldn't want to be able to get the absolute maximum bonuses to our mining and smelting possible - it's basic human nature to want more than what you currently have.
Yes it's true that you can do perfectly fine without Raider Rings to wear while you mine and smelt...but that doesn't mean they aren't pretty damn spiffy to have while you're going.

There seems to be a mass frenzy for these rare items which makes people think illogically. I have 5 from drops, they probably cost 1500ap to collect and I can get around 60USPs from their sale, this 60000ap will benefit me for more than equipping them and gaining levels that way.

It's not a simple case of "the item gives x levels and I can get x levels per usp" but more a case of "these items give you a kick start to getting x+y more than you would otherwise".

For example, you stated that you get 3 levels per usp now for mining and smelting - if one of these Raider Rings puts you in a position where you can move on to a higher material, wearing them could earn you more levels per usp than you would get otherwise, because your mining, smelting or foraging xp gain between levels is still calculated at the base rate not the new total rate you're at.
