Defending them is the easiest job in the game, all you have to do is stand there. It seems nobody can attack them.

Hmmm, that gives me an idea.

Since they cannot be attacked, if somebody leaves a relic, they lose it for good... BUT, while they don't leave, I can go out an gain XP and levels.

With that in mind, you keep the relic.

shadowskil i know we had beef in the past but i totally agree with you pointless getting these relics because they are too easily lost there is no way our members will want to just sit there and wait for someone to attack the relic so they can defend it especially for the low bonuses of some of them, and all the good ones are lvl 100 areas so the highest ranked and most experienced players get the best bonuses surely this would be much more fair if the lower guilds were able to have these bonuses sometime ??? personally were not gonna bother with them at all *voted no*

So... hmmm... some form of 'Teleport' to your relic feature so you can quickly jump there after you burn your stamina to defend it?

mayb make it so that for X stam per hour (or mayb gold per day, kinda like hiring a merc.), your stats are added to the defence of the shrine.

this way, you use a bit of stam/gold, but you dont have to stand there all day doing nothing.

what's the point of teleporting to defend it if you have to sit there to keep it? Sitting there with bonuses and doing nothing does nothing for you, you have to actually kill something for the bonuses to benefit you, which means leaving the relic.

I think they're saying that someone who holds the relic, could use a teleport option to leave the relic afterwards.

actually, ive got a better idea...

why not make it that once you have a relic, you can join a defence group (doesnt need a leader to join, but a leader is extremely helpful - he would give 5X the bonuses anyone else would), and make it that after 2-3 attacks, you have to join again.
but to make this work properly, there would have to be a restriction to attacks...
mayb u can only attack once per 2 hours or something?

hoof bud here is what i am thinking for 25 stamina you should be able to teleportdirectly to one of the relics you currently hold and defend it (you would have to be required lvl to enter the area of course) and for 25 stamina again you should be able to teleport back to the desired hunting zone (just like through a portal)

that is it

it will make things simple and will make for fun relic wars :)

how about this:

Guild A sends Group A to take Relic x from Guild B

The groupleader enters the square and and clicks the 'capture' button.

A 5minute timer starts.

All members of guild B that are NOT at the position of relic x get a personal log message that says:

"Guild A attempts to capture relic x! Do you want to rush to its defence? (20 stamina) YES / NO"

When the 5minute counter reaches zero the capturing attempt takes place. all members of guild B that have chosen to rush to the portal are treated as if they were there to defend, without actualy moving the character. But for this 'rushing' being possible at least one character has to hold the relic. just like attack groups, the character can help without being at the same location.

of cause, as long a sthe one capture attempt takes place no other guild could try an attack "there allready is a battle for that relic. wait x:xx minutes to challenge the winner"

A possible option would be to limit the ammount of 'rushing' players to the maximum group size for the guild. so if guild B has a 7 member limit for its attack groups then the 8th and all members afterwards that click 'yes' will get a 'the defence is allready complete' answer and had theire stamina refunded.

This wouldnt need the implementation of too many new functions and would reward activ guilds

too cumbersome and is not fair to guilds who dont have 5+ ppl on at all times also aloows the bigger guilds to contoll all the relics at once without physically being there

how about making it cost something to start these attacks? mayb ur stuff loses 50% of its durability?
coz otherwise we can just keep taking a relic from each other...

I think you should just give TDS all the relics, they already control one third of them and there's no way lower guilds can get a look in so why beat around the bush???

how about if u capture a relic but can't defend it u retain the half of the bonuses for.. say 12 hours? i'd actually settle for that as it is now why should i spent stamina to capture/hold them? this way at least i'll have something to show for my efforts.. also there may be a medal for holding the relics so this will encourage ppl to hold them...

Well i can't think of a good idea for the relic system that top guilds wont be able to have the advantage over everyone else....

funnly enough, the only guilds who have relics are in the top 10...... strange that...... and also, do they really need the bonuses from them ???? nope. :( i'm in favor of scrapping the relics as imho the content in itself is only beneficial to 0.118% of the people who play fs.
