Sitter Option

A sitter would be someone each player trusts and that could control their character for a certain time.
They would login with their normal password but with our nicks and could do it for a period of 7 days (maximum). After the 7 days only the player could log in and would need to rename sitter again if needed to a maximum of 15 days in a row once every 3 months or 2x 7 days every 2 months.
The reason for this is that we all have our lives and from time to time we might need to go to places that don't have internet (vacations is probably the main reason). The objective is not to have multiple characters and to prevent that the sitter and the player that names him/her would need to log on from different places.

If I'm going to be gone from the game for any period of time, I usually ask someone I really trust to handle my stuff for me. I don't have to pay them anything either....that's what good friends are for. lol
I plan to do the same. But if he logs in to his character and to mine from the same machine then he might be quicked from the admin...

Nah..I do it all the time for my friends. What the admin's are really looking for are accounts that are ALWAYS played with the same ISP. I know they realize that some of us mess with each others accounts and help out when people go away from the game sometimes. I wouldn't worry about it too much..and if you are worried about it, then send them a note saying that your friend is watching your character for a bit so they'll know. Just in case. It's really that simple.
Not just the same isp but also with a lot of trading going on between them.

If accounts are trading on the same ip they are flagged for automated checking.
Another reason for having a sitter system. In other online games that is allowed and in one of them we can even name 2 sitters just in case one of them can't make it for some reason. I think that would be an option that would make players life much easier and don't risk to get an account temporarily suspended...
