Pay attention to who you attack, never attack at random or without checking to see who their friends, allies or guildmates are. Also, if they are in a guild that lists allies, be sure to take a look at those too, before attacking. Is the gold or PvP rating worth the potential losses from retaliations?

Don't make the stupid mistake of thinking that your special, expensive or rare set of armor is supposed to somehow make you invincible, otherwise, you risk something like this happening to you...

(Look closely at the stats and level of this player, after retaliations for unprovoked attacks)

The gold this person gained from an attack was about 1000 gold. The estmated repairs of heavily damaged Frost Dragon set... closer to 5000. The estimated time to regain enough exp to wear the gear again... about 36 hours, since stats are far too low to actually kill much of anything for exp. Think about it, is it worth it?

No one is truly invincible in this game.

And Judas Priest folks...thousands of years ago, Tsun Tsu wrote down a simple tactic that still makes perfect sense..."know your enemy"...it's a shame that ppl haven't figured that out still...blindly attacking without thought...

And many guilds, AoD included...aren't inclined to give a warning first...
 learn from this one.

Nice thread CZ. :D

...It doesn't matter what level a person is or what gear they choose to wear, none will protect them from poor observation skills.

This is our standard form of warning. If they are dumb enough to try again, things could get much worse.

Was it worth it? Just don't do it. It's not smart. Just because someone is the same level as you does not mean they have the same abilities. Leave our friends and us alone...all we want is to level up, do quests, and have fun...without having to worry about getting attacked. Which is why we are in guilds, and why all our guilds are allied with each other...to keep this from happening. Look before you leap...ours is a vast abyss...
