Do the two of you share a computer?
Did you send a link that had your reference number on there?

This has happened to me many times as well. I've received in game msgs from people who said they joined from my link but I rarely get FSP for it. I'm sure it has something to do with cookies and IP addresses. I don't know how these things work.

Don't know if it will help but Ducimus posted on this subject, earlier today on a different thread -
'The recruitment link must be used with your reference code attached to the end of the link, now if your friends or whomever decide to visit the game via that link sign up and make an account in fallensword then you will be credited for recruiting the players.
Keep in mind if the people decide to strip your reference code off the end or just decide to type in www.fallensword.com themselves to take a look around then you will not be credited for the recruitment.
Their IP address if matching any previous accounts that have signed up in the past will not be used in the effect of recruitment to your account either.
If this recruitment was legitment and the players used your link to sign up then just wait awhile for the FSP to be sent to your account. ( There can be delays and ive heard tell tales of the recruitment/FSP process taking a very long time ) however you will recieve the FSP's in due time for all legitiment recruiting done on your behalf' - Ducimus

If you used the same computer then there is the problem. Same computer means same IP. I know some of the people I've recruited used computers at work or at internet cafes so maybe somebody else used that same computer to log into FallenSword. When it does work then you should get an in-game msg immediately. Good luck with it.

Well then the problem is probably cookies. I've noticed that when you click on the referral link then it stores a cookie on your computer. If the computer you make the new account with does not accept cookies then you won't get the FSP.
