I vote yes for the idea. The % gain is a great thought! but as posted before keep it fair for lower levels and upper levels. Maybe have the hellforge differentiate between level of item being forged and charge a lower gold price for this, and vice versa for higher levels. (If this is even possible?)
As it is presented it's a great idea, except it will make the crafting obsolete
could also have a small failure chance like 5% or an even smaller unforge chance ie starting at unforged but i dont agree with breaking the item....
So, introduction of hellforging for gold will actually put FSP-rich folks at even GREATER advantage, because so far their only use for gold was guild/personal banks and upkeep, whereas now they'll be able to hellforge practically everything.

I like the idea . I don't suppose there's a way to introduce "Guild naming" an item at the same time ?? It would cut down on the scam artists.

Again, I have to disagree... the only "advantage" FSP-rich players would have here is that they could more easily raise the gold needed for Hell Forging by selling those FSP... which would drive the market price down—allowing those who don't have easy access to FSP greater opportunities.

Well, imagine two players on the same level, say 85. Player A has easy access to free FSP offers of many kinds, player B lives in the Czech RepublicThey both earn the same amount of gold each day - and player B needs a reasonable sum of FSP to buy necessary equipment (not talking about Deep Set here
, I lived without it up to 110
. So, when the day ends, Player A has sold player B some FSPs. The situation could well be that they now have the same amount of FSPs and Player A has all the gold
- so player A can afford to have all the equipment hellforged and therefore will gradually gain advantage (both against creeps and in PvP).
I think that this idea would actually open the scissors between US and non-US players even more...

Sounds great! Only problem I can see is the returning of fsp to the owners. Most hell-forged items have been sold and people would basically be getting free fsp for nothing. Maybe take that part out. Other than that, I think it is a great idea!
