Text Message Free FSP Offers

Just need to ask a quick question. It should be fairly straight-forward. Anyway, I want to do some offers like these (for my country):
[Australia] Australia - Wixawin Wii Enter cell number + accept text message
15 [FallenSword Points]
[Portugal] Portugal - Wixawin Ps3 Enter cell number + accept text message
7 [FallenSword Points]
[Finland] Finland - Wixawin Ps3 Enter cell number + accept text message
12 [FallenSword Points]
[Netherlands] Netherlands - Wixawin Ps3 Enter cell number + accept text message
10 [FallenSword Points]
[Australia] Australia - Wixawin Hd Tv Enter cell number + accept text message
15 [FallenSword Points]
I just copied and pasted a bunch, so you guys get the idea. Anyway, my question is simple. Do I actually need to have the Text Messaging service-thing on my Cell phone to enter, or can I do these without it? It just says to accept the Message, but I'm not sure if I can without the Text Messaging service. Oh, and while I'm here, I do have another question, but it's directed more to those who have done these offers, if anyone has. Do they work, are they safe, and have you had any problems?
Thanks!

You have a phone without text messaging?
Is it made of wood?
Anyway, provided you can receive and open text messages on the phone, I guess it will be ok. Otherwise I doubt it will work.
Are they safe etc? To be honest, I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole. Almost guaranteed to charge you money in one way or another.
But I've never done them so wait for someone else.

ROFL! No, it's not made of wood. I've just never gotten text messaging because I'm not really familiar with it, and, at this time, don't really have a use for it (at least, to the best of my knowledge I don't require it). I might get it in the future, but I don't know.
Yeah, a friend of mine, in my Guild, did warn me against them. He said they were a trap of some sort. Then, he added they were "An up to $60 trap". If that's the case, I'll be demanding either a hell of a lot more FSP from FS (at least an additional 400 FSP), or I'll be demanding my money back because it didn't say that anywhere I saw of (I did, briefly, have a look over one for my country, and it didn't give that kind of an impression). If I could afford to waste $60, I would buy the 400 FSP directly from FS. BTW, out of curiousty, what is a bargepole? From the name, I can only assume it's some kind of pole, lol!
Thanks!

If you have a mobile phone, it has text messaging in-built. At least every phone I've ever had in the last 10 or so years has. And some of them have been pretty low-spec.

It's a pole that they used to push barges along in canals and keep them away from the sides. They are pretty long.

I wonder if I could get some people who have done these offers to comment. Details such as "hidden" charges, fees, etc would be good. Are they a trap? Did you get some outrageous bill? Any information like that would be great!
Thanks!
