I thought about this when I was distributing gear to my lower leveled friends according to the guide, and sent my friend the Assassins Hood to swap out for his Infernus Helmet. His set would not be whole, so therefore needs replaced as well?

Level 2  Mystical Hood, Small Axe, Reinforced Shield, Ring of Health, Reinforced Boots

Level 4  Holy Gloves, Frostbite set, Nobles Hood, Spiked Club, Ring of Gordlite
Level 5  Infernus set, Frostbite Amulet, Scimitar

Level 7  Crest Shield, Amethyst Ring, Striking Rune
Level 8  Large Spiked Club
Level 9  Large Axe, Ruby Ring
Level 10  Assassins Hood
Alright, at level 10 it tells you to replace the Infernus Helmet with the Assassins hood. Doing so would render the Infernus Set obsolete correct?
Your gear, according to this list would be at level 10,
Gloves: Infernus Gloves
Helmet: Assassins Hood
Amulet: Frostbite Amulet
Weapon: Large Axe
Armor: Infernus Armor
Shield: Crest Shield
Ring: Ruby Ring
Boots: Infernus Boots
Rune: Striking Rune
Wouldn't it make sense to Go back to the Frostbite Set and benefit from Elite Hunter once more since since you are just sacrificing a little bit of armor and such that you probably really don't need all that much to? Or is that armor bonus REALLY that useful?
Thus changing your gear to
Gloves: Infernus Gloves
Helmet: Assassins Hood
Amulet: Frostbite Amulet
Weapon: Large Axe
Armor: Frostbite Armor
Shield: Frostbite Shield
Ring: Ruby Ring
Boots: Infernus Boots
Rune: Striking Rune
You get Elite Hunter back and +1 damage from the Frostbite Armor
Yet again,
Probably something simple that I'm missing but, eh.
