I had an idea floating around in my head to improve the pvp aspect of the game, I will try and keep it as simple as possible (using PlayerZ and PlayerA).

PlayerZ views PlayerA's profile page, under the options of "Send Messsage", "Trade with Player" etc., there is a new option "Challenge".

PlayerZ clicks that, and is taken to a page similar to the Attack Player page, you choose to "Confirm Challenge".

PlayerA receives a Log message: "Player Z has challenged you to a dual, visit the Challenge section to accept/decline."

PlayerA clicks the Challenge link and is taken to a page similar to Secure Trade, where they can click the eye icon, view PlayerZ's profile and choose to accept/decline the challenge.

Level rules still apply (within 5 levels of your own) but the stamina is preset at 10 and cant be changed.

As this is a dual challenge, NO Gold or XP will be lost in the battle, only pvp points.

The amount of pvp points which can be lost/gained is also preset (maximum of 10 as an example) per battle.

To avoid constant unwanted challenges from one player, you can add them to "Manage Ignore List", which will also block them from sending future challenges to you.

All unanswered challenges expire after 24 hours.

NO Bountys can be placed after a dual.

Optional

In character preferences there is the option to "Disable Challenge" which will result in you receiving no challenges/challenge messages in your Log, from ANY player, thus allowing you to continue with the game the way it is now.

pvp as it is now

The current pvp as it is stays the same, still allowing you to attack for Gold and more than 10 pvp points, using more than 10 stamina.

If you have read all the above then please cast your vote, and feel free to agree/disagree/tweak all of the above suggestions.

Thanking you :D

Actually i had this idea on my mind for the last weeks, excellent i totally agree, just one thing to add, you can lose exp in a challenge, and the challenge should last 24 hours, so in those 24 hours you can attack the player you challenged each 50 minutes instead of each hour or each 40 minutes, or so, but losing exp will be better, and shouldnt apply exp lock :)

 Hope this can be implemented.

Thanks for your input sigoloso, but my idea was to have the option of JUST pvp, for points (No XP loss - and I will add that to my first post) and also the idea of the "Challenge" was on the basis of a "dual" not an attack. To make it fun, all duals must be agreed by the two players, so I dont think that you should be able to attack every 50 minutes for 24 hours.

If you want another dual with the player, you would simply send a new "Challenge" request :D

I'd like to see something like this go into effect; but the winner would have to be decided by damage done within the 10 stamina attacks; since mid-level characters can basically just 1 hit kill each other.

I like it. Maybe a small amount of XP when you win and no loss of XP if you lose. Good ol honest fight, then maybe keep track of wins and losses. The small XP gain would to encourage people to do it because without any benefits in XP it will still be a moot process in the higher levels because higher levels will still not want to use stamina on challenges.

Also I believe it would have to be where it is randomly assigned who gets first strike that way defense and armor are important. We all know ther attacker has a benefit over the attackee.

I would definitely be all for this...

another idea, is that maybe the challengers can set stakes...

if both agree to the stakes, the battle happens...

so to use your example:

Player A challenges Player Z

Player Z accepts the challenge and sets a stake on 150 XP, meaning if he loses Player A gets 150 of his XP, but if he wins, he gets Player A's 150 XP

Player A accepts or declines the terms of the challenge. Then the fight begins.

the max amount of XP one can wager should be based on level, being a max of 5% to the next level...

you should be able to wager anything, FSP, PVP points, XP, and/or Gold

this could add an entirely new pvp aspect to the game, where people of higher levels could test their strategies against each other, and level up at a faster rate.

On the other hand, this could also be very unpopular, bc when it comes to duals, people have only got to look at each other's profiles, to know who is going to win the fight... so...

mabe that idea of who actually causes the most damage over 10 stamina, where no HP is involved?
