End of discussion!
You may not realize it, but you are talking about the buy now option...ok not he buy it now its for the pll that sell the items they can end the actution and settle for that price
If you would like to settle for such a price, then simply place that price as the buy now amount when you post your 48 hour auction.

As others have said, put up a price you're willing to settle for in the first place. Allowing people to put up any price they want and then deciding what they'll accept only encourages overpricing. Besides, 90%+ of the items sold go for the "buy now" price anyway... the buyer rarely wants to wait that long for an item. Let's face it: for most of us, by the time a 48h auction is over, we've advanced two levels anyway, and as likely as not are no longer interested in that item.
Long-term auctions are only bid on by two kinds of buyer: those looking ahead of their level, and those looking for bargains that they can re-sell for higher prices. There are very few of the former; as for the latter... well, that's all part of the strategy in making AH work for you. Besides, most of them don't bid until the last 15 seconds anyway, so the only reason to have something up long-term is to "advertise" it. And there are very few items that will attract someone's attention well enough for him/her to come back 40-odd hours later just to bid on them.
