REMOVE ANONYMITY FROM FSP MARKET PLACE

I'd like the devs to return the marketplace to the way it was when it was originally set up with the names of the sellers listed.
I'd like to choose who I bought fsps from and I'd like the sellers to incur an element of risk when they put their fsps on the market.
There are players making good incomes buying and reselling fsps. There should be more risk involved in this lucrative trade
Give the villains a better chance to relieve players of some of their gold hehe...
And who knows, maybe the price of fsps wouldn't climb so high so quickly if players had to put their names to the prices they are asking.

lol, but then too many people are just gonna buy like 100 from someone that they are going to attack 1 minute later
That's fine by me.
At the moment the sellers can ask any price they like. I'd like to see them put their names to the prices they're asking...
The seller gets to see the name of the buyer - why can't the buyer see the name of the seller?
And more thieving would be a good thing imo lol...

It has to be anonomous really, otherwise you get the problem of people getting attacked so they can get the gold back --- it just didn't work well before.
But by making it anonymous there is very little risk for the seller at all.
I don't think the prices would have risen as high so quickly if we had been able to see who was selling the fsps...
I'd like to see the trading be a little bit riskier for the sellers lol.

But what about the FSP sellers who only sell a few here and there? Or like me, sometimes I sell a bunch of FSP just to deposit a large amount into my Guild.
Not to mention, if someone donates to the game spending $10 then wants to sell those FSP for Forging.. then a player just takes all the Gold off them, then that would put a player off of donating anymore.
I have to diagree Phool, If you are just trying to work out a way of stopping the sellers buying FSP at the lower price then selling it higher, then maybe some limits would slow down the price increase a little.
Limit all players to 20 FSP transactions a day through the marketplace?
i.e. you can buy 10 sell 10, or buy 20, or sell 20 in one day..
Number of 20 was just an example, maybe it could be a bit more.. maybe 50?

I like this idea, when the Marketplace showed the sellers name the Market Place price's were like in the 30's, but why can't you restrict seller to be attacked 30 minutes from the 1st FSP sold (this is when buyers can see the seller's name) players can get rid of money easily but if they can't in 30 min. its their problem
This is an interesting idea too, but whats to stop a player selling 1FSP every 30 minutes.. this would make them immune from attack? forever? :?

Edit: Using that same concept Hoof, why not make auctions hidden as well. People get attacked right after an auction sometimes too? by making fsp marketplace anonymous, you are slowing making gold obsolete.

So just because players donate real, hard cash, they shouldn't be put in any risky position? I really feel that HCS really has to stop putting updates based on the majority of whiners in the game. A poll really won't determine anything except the masses of people who don't like getting hit. If PvP is truly supposed to be part of the game, then make it part of the game instead of hindering it with every update.

If marketplace sellers have their name seen, they are being unfairly put in the spotlight for attack.
If sellers can be seen, then it would only be fair to make a list available of EVERY player in the game, with their Gold next to their name, so you can browse and steal as you wish.

It's not unfair, the player's chose to sell on the marketplace. If names are shown, less will sell by marketplace price, that's guaranteed. Another thing, just because people whine about getting hit, we don't have an extensive list ingame of all the members who play. If we had this, it would be so much easier to do trading, PvP, and look for multi's. But too many people complain that all it is, is a easier way to get hit by other players.

Well I must have to agree to disagree with you Asgenar, and I know for a fact that anonymity from FSP sellers will never be changed.
So back to the original post, which I think was aimed at those players who buy up all the FSP and sell them at an increased price..
Do you not think a limit of transactions would stop this Asgenar?
(and just so you know, I have NEVER whined about getting hit)

Wasn't talking about you m8. And about your question, I don't quite get it. Sorry, I'm stupid.
Well I mean say there are some players who go to the marketplace and buy up 100 FSP at the lowest price.. then they just go and sell them again at a higher price, they do it again and again, and that rockets the FSP price.
So if there was a limit of 20 (just an example number) transactions a day in the marketplace..
A player could only sell 20, buy 20, sell 10 buy 10 etc. in one day.. thus not allowing one player to buy all the FSP at the cheapest price to sell it on..
Many times I have seen 50 FSP go up at 5-10k less than the next cheapest price, only to see them dissapear within 5 seconds.. probably bought up to sell on at a higher price.

I think limiting the transactions might help, but I could be wrong with the repercussions. Just by placing names back, transactions will be limited by the players.
Thinking about it more, I guess bringing back the names of sellers may help. As players would only sell FSP when they need the Gold there and then, for forging, buying items etc. as they know they would have to get rid of it quick!
Although I think it will never happen, I guess there are valid arguements for and against it

before the market place was introduced , the players had to sell using the shout box .. that is way more risky than a market place because the shout box is the first thing i look at when i log on or go to the home page , i rarely look at the marketplace (especially with these prices lol)

That is a good idea. I personally sell from time to time, andf I know a couple of players who just buy the whole lot each time (obvious resellers). That's the real thing that ramps the prices, although FSP inflation is a fact of the game.
Non-anonymous marketplace has been tried and is a nightmare. It just genuinely isn't fair to lay people open to selling FSP then getting all the gold robbed by the guy who bought them. Whether or not you like the prices, people who sell FSP are doing you a favour by either putting their time or RL money into obtaining them then letting you buy for something you get as a by-product of playing the game.
*Minor rant incoming, Please disregard*
To put it simply, don't like the prices? Then go get 'em yourself. If they aren't worth the gold price, why not get them in one of the multitude of other ways that are available, including gold->fsp auction trading (which is cheaper). If that is too much effort/too time-consuming, then take a moment to consider why the value of FSP (hard to get) is high compared to the value of gold (no effort to get).

I sometimes sell fsp, genrally as cheap as I can with current prices and I sell in bulk, bout 30-40 at a time and that cash is generally for my guild, so I don't want getting attacked.
