Probably not going to happen since Hoof already made his stand on the matter clear, but I agree with Phool and Asgenar on certain points. PvP in this game is being nerfed in several ways both obvious and subtle...and I agree that far too many people whine about being attacked...when I was a newb in this game there was a point where I was losing about 10k gold every day and I didn't whine, didn't even bother to put a bounty, I learned to wear defensive gear when I'm off. When I sell FSP now even with an anonymous MP I still wear defensive gear just in case.
I'm not sure if this proposal would really have much effect on FSP inflation, there have been other ways, discussed in other posts, to counter this. I know it would make for a certain degree of mayhem, but that's fun for me. Too bad PvP lovers are in the minority.

Greets,

Nope, I don't like the idea. A limited amount of Transactions per day might be an okay idea, but it would need to be thought on long and hard. Some people, such as myself, buy and sell FSP to make profit for their Guild. It isn't easy. I can buy FSP cheap, but I have to be patient, and I also have to keep updated on my prices because the darn Marketplace keeps changing so drastically. For people like me, something like that would be very bad.

Later doooods!

Ok....I'm thinking of a possible solution. This may have a few holes.

1) Remove the anonymity of the marketplace. That way we (as buyers) can see who is selling the fsps and choose whether or not to do business with them.

2) Deposit 50% of the gold made from the sale of fsps into their bank. That way, there is still an element of risk, however, it will not cost a seller everything if they get hit.

3) To prevent abuse of this instant banking, any person who gives gold/fsps to a friend and immediately has a marketplace transaction gets a nice dose of the banhammer for exploits.

Ok....I think that covers most of what I was thinking. Feel free to knock holes in this.

I don't see why we have to compromise with 50% gold going to the bank. Can someone help me out?

I agree with that entirely. There are some players with whom I would prefer not to engage in FSP trading and would rather spend a bit more to buy from another seller.

If the idea is for protection of the seller, that is understandable; perhaps a portion, if not all of the gold from fsp sales could be directly deposited into the bank, as suggested above. This removes the risk of naming the seller and allows buyers to chose from whom they make purchases.

If the seller is to remain hidden, then the buyer should too. While there is no immediate threat to the buyer in terms of attack for gold, the same priviledge of anonymity should be extended to buyers.

I threw that out there so that this idea has a chance of being implemented. Hoof already said that having all the gold floating around to be stolen from whomever bought the fsps was a no-no. So, comprimise is necessary.

I seem to remember that in another thread you yourself explained how this system could be exploited to transfer gold directly to one's bank...
Player A has 1,000,000 gold on him and wants to deposit more than the 25% allowed by daily deposit. He sends the gold to his friend (multi?) Player B and puts up 10 FSP for 100k. Player B buys 10 FSP from A who gets 50% of 1 million gold into his bank. Player B then returns the 10 FSP to A.
Although it's kind of nerfed since you made it 50% not 100% deposited, I think it would still qualify as an exploit and I don't think you could really ban players for doing this (unless it is used to detect multi activity). It's a good idea for a compromise though.

As someone said earlier, I don't see why the FSP marketplace should be anonymous for the sellers' protection, when the AH is transparent...I know a lot of people who have been PvP'ed after making a big gold sale and nobody gives a damn...If you will keep the marketplace anonymous then why not hide the buyers as well, or hide sellers and buyers on AH. Personally I'd prefer everything to be transparent, though I doubt that is ever going to happen.

lol, but then too many people are just gonna buy like 100 from someone that they are going to attack 1 minute later

well the solution could be just sending the gold straight to the bank or, stated in an earlier reply, just send 50% to bank so there is still some risk in selling.

so instead of banking the solution will be to buy FSPs then resell them?

You can't send any money to bank outside of normal daily 25% deposit.

no here is my reason:

FSP is teh drugs of Fallen Sword, Right? Right.

People want FSPs and are willign to pay absurd prices for them. Once you have got FSPs you can never turn back just like drugs (crack, cocaine, weed etc.). Also teh marketplace is like teh underground black market where shady people sell drugs.

Teh police are like teh people who are trying to find out who they are buying from so they could bust them and rob their money.

So this makes it mysterious and safer yet kind of more dangerous imo

How about a 25% deposit after all of ur fsp have sold. F.E. a person has 5 fsp in the marketplace for 50k each, each time it is bought, the money will accumulate in the marketplace(not sure where, just gave an idea) and after all of the fsp have gone then the guy who sold them would get the money with 25% going to his bank.

How about at any time along the FSP sales he's making, he's able to send 25% to the bank, provided he has a deposit? This seems to be the best way to handle it.
