Hi all, i have an idea that will make free a lot of guild founders, leaders, and High council members of all the top guilds.

The day to day duty to keep track of the gold for the guild upkeep takes a lot of time, and its hard to keep all the fully maxed structures and still dont lose gold because of the buildings. So my suggestion is:

The guild Founder can designate a member of the guild to gather the gold from all the guild, lets say per week.

Example when you look at the profile of any player you see the following options above the player's bio:

Available Actions
# Send Message
# Invite to Guild
# Add as Friend
# Attack Player
# Add as Enemy
# Trade with Player
# Send gold for the guild

We could add something to a rank for that special player in the guild in who you can trust your life or even the guild founder can gather the gold by using that new option, all the gold gathered this way will go to a page in the guild screen called 'Guild upkeep report' like the report of tagged items, and then a button where you can automaticaly rank a special rank for those players who have been away or forgot to send the weekly gold.

Goals for this: Save a lot of time to the guild leaders and have a nice report organization to keep running the expensive structures in the guild.

The guild founder can designate the amount to give per week, then when the players use the button send gold or send gold for the guild, that gold will be acumulated in the report then when finally the member send all the gold their names in the report will be separated from the ones who are missing to send the gold. or something like that.

This idea needs to be pulled, but please bring something similar to this.

Hey there! Thanks for the PM. Below are my 2 cents worth.

I don't agree of your system just because we don't use it. We have a free guild, where everybody donates as much as he/she wants... And it's normal that bigger players donate more.

And let's face it, with the price of the fsp at 80k, you sell 10 fsp and you can keep the structures of a BIG guild alive for 1 day without a sweat...

My 2cents ;) . Even so, let's say you donate 60$ to the game, that is 400 fsps... you can keep the guild stuctures (let's say in your guild) for about 40 days... That's more of a months worth, and only one donation/member contribution.

I really think gold is not an issue anymore in the game.

Regards,
MustWin

In my opinion, a bad idea. Some of us send gold to eachother to make bigger depo's and some dont. I dont think this is needed. You can easily remember if a guy always begs but doesnt give anything in return. You dont have to force them to send gold, as that is basically what the result will be of your system.

And if you want to keep track of who does donate what, that's your decission. I dont think it's really needed to see who donates what. If you want to track down if someone helps the guild, you should also keep track of sending gold for personal banking, or sending items. That would be an awful mess anyway. You should see who participates in guild conflicts.

I dont think this suggestion is that great. I'd rather see a more efficient/useful t item lottery and more rewards for the Guild Conflicts. Ow and new Relics.

Well, ill wait more replies 0 good 2 bads. there are some guilds that are well organized, and dont need to sell 10fsp a day to mantain the guild upkeep, while if everybody works together that can be easily be done witouth real money involved.

Its not a bad idea for those guilds that want to keep track of things. Same could be done for FSP. Maybe a structure that would enable this would be good idea, so those who dont want/need it dont have to concern about it.

I like it, it sounds like all he wants is a way to keep track of who donates what. If that is the case then it has been suggested before though.

I'd have to agree with Tharnakus' suggestion.

Could be a good idea for guilds that need it, but in our guild we don't have a money/fsp donation problem. 8)

We dont have it to  But could be a way to reward some members also.... And about the structure like Tharnakus said its a good idea, if you dont want it, dont construct the structure then. :D

As someone who use to keep track of guild gold from players, I have too say it's very time consuming. With work, school and girlfriend I had to give up those duties because I had very little free time. But this would be a great help guild leaders.

I like this idea for many reasons:

1. No longer have to keep side sheets or update excel files
2. Saves a lot of time
3. Easy chart to read with in the game for quick feedback for members

I want to add that this person designated would not be able to be attacked and have gold stolen (no pvp).
And if this idea doesn't work then I'd like to see something in the game where there's a chart of players donations... or something to make keeping track of this a little more simplified.

It sounds a good idea, but I give my two cents. As I think of governments keeps up the funding of resources by taxing people.

Guild Founder or any other person in charge could be allowed on a section called:
"Guild Tax"

This Guild tax would have a bar which can be set up to let's say 0-50%, every gold obtained from monsters would be then added to guild money. Of course you can use the system we have now, but with this "Guild Tax" everyone would participate depending on guild rules.

Well that is a basic idea and could be further developed.

-MM

This has been already proposed as a guild structure (with upgrades to increase the level of the guild tax.

It would be very simple to implement and would achieve similar effect. Every guild founder would know quite precisely what the player contribution was based on their XP growth (barring occasional PvP etc) - and every guild could decide to set their own taxation level to match their needs. (For this building, I would suggest fixed upkeep no matter what the taxation level would be)

I like coyotik's idea much more than mine.
A structure would allow guilds the option.

A refinement of the idea - allow the tax rate to be changeable by the guild founder (with the structure upgrades only affecting the limitations)... Thus, if the guild was in need of saving up for a structure upgrade, the taxes could be bumped up for some short period, but otherwise kept down on the "match the expenses" level...

It would allow smaller guilds to compete in recruiting, because they could attract players by something else than "we have all the buildings fully upgraded" :)...

For example our guild (not that we need more members, we only take CZ/SK players anyway) has a quite low upkeep (under 23k) - not bad for number 26... so somebody in our position could attract members by low tax rates...

I love Coyotiks idea, If we could set up a guild tax system it would be AWESOME. Then all members would be contributing to the guild funds as they hunted, no need to "track" all the deposits as it would be assured that everyone is doing the fair share of contributions.

Yup good idea, but it should also be done so whole guild can see, cause I'd hate to be in a guild where the founder doesn't even bother and keeps for him/herself
