So trapping people would start to suck big time.
Maybe it woudl be better if some monster attacked the player, probably killing him/her, he/she woudl loose some xp and gold.
Traps shoudl not be to powerfull, like traping for whoel day. Come on, and LE that woudl suck big time.
I woudl trap everybody that woufdl try to stral monstrers from me:)

Also if it goes through, it should be massive amounts of gold.. gold sink gold sink gold sink. Maybe allow players to charge the trap with gold.... say 100,000 gold each 30 minutes the affect lasts?
I don't agree with the pit one or whatever.. some people only have 15 minutes a day to play, and if you ruined that for them, I could see people quitting over that.
Other Ideas for Traps:
Mute: Player cannot send messages, use guild chat, or post on the shoutbox
Attack of the Pick Axes: Every creature the player kills will drop a pick axe(with a 1:1,000,000 chance to drop a FF pick axe)
great idea!...it can be turned off during le?...it needs twiches and such but a great idea indeed

Also, I think only 1 trap should be allowed to be set per enemy at a time. I don't think it would be fair if someone decided to lay traps on each level exit
Yeah I agree, I guess they'd be flaring by the time you decided to stop setting the traps lol.

I think if it were implemented the person you are setting the trap for shouldn't have to be on your enemy list. I think some of them would be fun to do as a prank on your friends too :twisted:

Trying to determine where they may go is what would be the fun part. It could be easy if you just happen to stumble upon the player while hunting but what if the target is many levels below you. Perhaps a guild thief you want to teach a lesson to. It could take some effort figuring out what realm they're in.
Yes, that's 50% of the fun already, I think. People could earn some reward for spotting the target, like they do now with the SEs, and whole guilds of professional spies and expert trappers could live off the idea.
The other 50% would be in coming up with the various traps. The more varied, the better. Rust- (bye-bye gear) and amnesia-inducing (bye-bye buffs) gaz clouds, for example. Or The Existentialist's Dilemma, which would make the target go round in a circle for 1hr, with corresponding loss of stamina...
All great ideas. But if you can't post them on stairs, etc., you'll need to get lucky to catch them.
