Well we all get annoyed to find what we want to look for in the logs and guild logs so heres is what i suggest, we have separate logs :

--------------------Character--------------------

Personal Log
====================
1- Auction House Tab
a) Item won
B) Item lost
c) Item out bid

2- Bounty Tab
a) Bounty accepted
B) Bounty won
c) Bounty lost
d) Bounty on your head
e) Bounty Pot win

3- Market Log
a) FSP bought
B) FSP sold

4- Secure Trade / Sending Log
a) Item sent (Note : name of item appears when sending)
B) Item receive (Note : name of item appears when received)
c) Gold sent
d) Gold receive
e) FSP sent
f) FSP receive

5- Skills Log
a) Skills casted
B) Skills received

Private Message Log
====================
1- Inbox
a) PM received from someone

2- Outbox
a) PM sent to someone

--------------------Guild--------------------

Guild Log
====================
1- Item Log Tab
a) Item going inside the guild store
B) Item going outside the guild store
c) Item being tagged
d) Item being untagged

2- Group Attack Tab
a) Group Attack win
B) Group Attack lose
c) Relic captured
d) Relic lost

3- Ranks Log
a) Ranks change

4- Recruit Log
a) Recruit accept
B) Recruit decline
c) Recruit request

5- Kick/Leave Log
a) Player kicked out of the guild
B) Player left the guild

6- Mercenary Log
a) Mercenary Hire

7- Building Log
a) Building created
B) Building demolished (by player)
c) Building demolished (by insufficient golds)

8- Donation Log
a) Gold deposit
B) Gold withdrawn
c) FSP deposit

If you you guys did not understand how this idea works then follow the example below :

--------------------Character-------------------- (We all know this can be found on the left-side screen)
Skill Log (I know the Skill doesn't have a log but just saying that to make you understand my idea)
====================
1-Offense Buff
a) Lv. 1 - 300 skills
2-Defense Buff
a) Lv. 1 - 300 skills
3-Special Buff
a) Lv. 1 - 300 skills (I added here 1 2 and 3 cause each of these buff has their own page and the a) represent the skills in that page)

So if you understood this example you'll understand my idea.

So what do you guys think of this idea ? This way we will not get annoyed of finding logs that we want.

I can see that but many people have hard time keeping track of everything, some big guild needs to keep track of everything so thats when i suggested this idea to help out.

It may not be important to normal members but for the founder, leaders and others might find it interesting.

I think that this could be very easily doable. There are a few possibilities:

a) do the sorting on the server side. That is, each "Tab" would be a full URL that would cause the server to return entries of the corresponding type

B) do the sorting on the browser side. In that case, each log entry could come up within a
tag - and the tabs would be just javascript thingies that would manipulate the display style of all elements of various classes within the page.

The latter could possibly cause less load (and less developer work) on the database side and less traffic (request count) on the webserver, at the cost of having to fetch more data with each request.

When it comes to it, the "depth" of the log could be decreased by default to i.e. last few hours instead of one full page... and fetching more data only on explicit request from the player. So that when you log in, you check the log all the way down, but when you play, going into the log would by default fetch only data for last x minutes/hours.

wow i actually understood some of it  ...anyway i like the second style cause it causes less load on the server .......

No kidding Brishu, no one here (except game admins) can understand that weird alien language :P .

Anyway back to topic, why not thinking about the positive side of this idea rather then thinking about the laggs it will cause, let the cows deal with the loading stuff.

LMAO! I understood *all* of it. And I think you might be on to something, coyotik, with the javascript stuff. Having a "new messages" type deal would be great and then if I need to see all to find some message from yesterday it's not a problem, just do the full listing. That would certainly clean up the logs considerably.

Also, the ability to turn this on and off in the preferences would allow people who *like* their logs with all the info in it, to keep them that way.

note that I didnt read through any but the first post here.

My suggestion would be to leave it how it is but enable us to search through our logs by each type of log it is.

So I send a message or receive a message and thats a message log, any AH log goes as an AH log and stuff like that.

Lol...i understood all of what Coyotik said too..

Anyways, I agree with badjoe on this one. Especially as a guild officer, looking through ones logs trying to figure stuff out is a pain at the best of times. Order would be lovely :D

I know, even though im not a guild leader (officer if u want to call it) i do hate to see scrambled logs when i view the logs its like going into ur friend room and see soo many cloths thrown everywhere and foods on the floor. So a little order and tidiness doesnt hurt any1 does it ?

nice idea, but keep it simpler, all guild logs to one all system to other, theres no need of about 5 about bounties ect.. not every 1 needs that many unless u bounty hunt all day

All of them ARE simple. For Personal, people want to search for different logs or messages. For Guild, the Guild Log is already messed up with soo many log entries and its hard for guild leaders/founder to look for the data they need to know.
