I am 99% certain your premise is correct. I say this because I'm near certain I've seen AzUK in our guild doing group hunts with just himself and two mercenaries.

I've hunted with a group consisting of one mercenary, one other person, don't see why it couldn't be two mercenaries, and yourself :D

Really basically mers count as a player....that is why my guild hired a couple before, because there weren't enough people on, so we just had one player and one merc, for all groups...makes it faster you know. :wink:

Yes, if you have 2 mercs then you can attack without anybody else joining the group. However mercs do not count in the group when attempting to take a relic
