I think its a bad idea. Just give us another LE event so the prices in auction house go down some.

As suggested in OP:

Low levels have absolutely no chance of buying an item at a good gold cost. This will be a great gold sink....from the pockets of high levels who can afford to pay 10 million gold on a single item. Side effect: This may increase pvp for high levelers, as more of them will lose auctions and have all their gold in their vulnerable hands.

If the items are bound:

Obviously this will lower the price that legendary items will be sold for in the Special AH. But this will increase lower demand in the regular legendary market, since there are less buyers now. Effect: Lowers the price of non-bound items.

While the effect won't be as drastic as everyone thinks, since they'll only sell 4-5 legendary items an hour, but it will have an effect.

I don't support this suggestion.

One option would be to make them bound if bought from the AH?

Did someone just hack Hoof's account and is now joking around the forum?

So, the only way for someone to make use of Legendary stuff then would be stay on the same level forever? Or simply destroy an item bought for loads of FSPs because they have leveled?

This game is officially starting to suck...

No I won't ever give you real money for this game but I surely won't play it this way either..

yes with yer new updates the SE value has dropped b-cuz of the potion of supreme luck, the FI skill is totally useless to everyon basically, and now legendary items in special will ruin the legendary events... dont do this or youll lose great players like AESL and maxxone and others prolly... we dont wanna complain

Don't forget that whoever wins the item will still be able to sell it.
There will be a few more items in circulation, but not many.

In fact, I doubt this will even cover the number of items lost in mailboxes or floating around on inactives.

I think everyone needs to get a little perspective on the suggestion before flaming it.

i agree with crace...
Read every reply and think before flaming or rising it to heaven...

YES DO IT!
Then I don't have to waste my stamina joining groups anymore, because no one will hunt elites. When implemented make a check box in preferences where you don't accept creature drops in your backpack to eliminate the need to destroy everything you get every 1/2 hour of hunting.

I think giving wider access to legendary items in the AH would also naturally lead to the creation of SUPER LEGENDARY EVENTS... Because plain ol' legendary events might not be worth the stamina based on how the drop rate is adjusted for the particular LE. my mouth is watering just thinking about super legendary items.

Also, maybe HCS should let people bid on XP, FSP, medals and Quests for gold in a special section of the AH. That would make the game more accessible for player who don't like hunting and it would be a terriffic gold sink! Another idea would be you could create a Gold Sink Medal. Players would be ranked on how much gold they throw off the cliffs in the Shawdow Mountains, and if you are in the top 100 players who destroyers the most gold for: 7 days you get Bronze, 30 days you get Silver, 100 days you get Gold, 180 days you get Crystal.

I mean, I guess it's a good idea, then I won't really have to donate to HCS to get enough FSP for top notch sets like my deep set....

--

Why do people need LE sets? Under level 100 you can 1 hit consistently with fairly common unforged items. XP loss and gold loss is blind-->it doesn't care about what you're wearinhg.

In conclusion, I think the idea is horrible. I'm sorry about my reaction, but my gut is twisting just thinking about it.

 thhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhppppppppppppppppppppppp!

PS Would they be bound? That would be weird but interesting since you would have to destroy them when you were done. I'm guessing his Hoofiness didn't specify in order to generate discussion and creative thinking...

If items are not bound but crystalline (unrepairable):

I would think after the initial huge amounts of gold people will pay to be the first to buy these items, the temporary status of the item will be priced in the auction, and these will sell for much less than their FSP-bought counterparts in the AH. However, if someone buys a legendary crystalline item, he/she won't buy a regular item in the AH (I noted this effect previously for the bound-items scenario). Thus, the regular market loses a customer, demand goes down, price goes down.

Again, I reiterate that hopefully they are thinking of selling a very low amount of items per hour/day, so this won't send shockwaves through the market, but again, I do not support this idea.

Not a good idea is my opinion. If you can buy it, it won't be legendary no more.
I like how it is now. LE to hunt for them so VERY rare.

The same Legendary creatures that had already appeared, or Legendary items that had already been dropped, or anything else that is in any way connected with Legendaries and has already been there for everyone once should NEVER EVER be brought back to the game again, disturbing the already existing balance as a result. Be it lottery, or same event, or any other crazy idea made up by people who have chosen whining as their primary objective in life, probably both real and FS. CERTAINLY NO!

It is NOT necessary for anyone to have LE items, you can survive without them!
It is NOT necessary for everyone to be equal in anything.
It is NOT necessary to satisfy every whiner's random plea for the good of the mankind.
It is NOT necessary to go on with this list of unnecessary things..

The idea is supposed to be a gold sink, not satisfy anyone's whinings.

Even though, it sounds exactly like one. You can see from the voting and so-called comments..

YES!!!!!!!! :P EDIT: i finally posted first lol

..is not a comment.

me likey

..is not a comment.
At least 90% of messages posted in this thread are nowhere near comments..

So, what point am I trying to make? HCS have been taking players' suggestions too seriously. Too selectively-ridiculously-seriously. Instead of working on more important issues that require their immediate attention (maybe they are working, I'm just blind then), I see THIS.

When do admins ruin a good game? When they try to satisfy the majority, most of which have no idea what they're talking about, because a few days after another ridiculous update they voted for is implemented, this majority suddenly starts to realize that instead of "Gettin' freee stuff!" all they got is a crappy game..

hmmm this could be nice but as long as they wont pop up very often.. i mean like 5-10 leg items a day at max!!!

I agree that it would be cool but it would also flood the market and change prices and we already have something that does this with the special item lottery I understand that it is a gold sink but it also would allow the very rich to control some more legendary items items. I have not seen one of these super potions go for under 500k most of the time they go for 1million plus. So not to many low level players would really get there hands on these items. Just trying to look out for the little guy and it would also make legendary events a little less special if you can get say a powered plague helm at the auction house.

Why not make them 'crystalline' versions of originals?

That way they depreciate and wouldn't need to be bound.

This is a great idea.

I also like the idea of level restrictions. no reason for a level 300 to buy a plague set. but what about an item like a decay rune? a level 110 could want that item because it can be used for over 50 more levels.

Why not just charge players a few hundred $ to join. Give them everything the need right up to current max lvl and make the game completely boring. Ive bought every LE set and SE set up to my current level. Yeah they look cool but ive only just realised how much money ive actually wasted!! Im slowly losing interest. The next event is the reason im waiting. Id hope its impressive!

NO
About the 75% who vote yes are FREE PLAYERS
they are not PAYING like the ppl who voted NO. If this happens whats the point of LE'S? Whats the point of working for your FSPS?

I like me other players would agreed that this is by far the dumbest idea ever heard, this is worse as the post "rob bank enchantment"
this is by far worse than that.

I like the idea, but with some restrictions...maybe that only +- 5 levels can buy items...( iknow that some guild can benefit from that, but ...)

These would have to be bound to the buyer and crystaline if anything. That way the individual can only buy them to benefit themselves while hunting and not for any kind of in game business

Hi all,

How would you feel about us adding Legendary items to the 'Specials' section of the Auction House (for gold)?

(Note we'll leave this poll open for 7 days to gauge the overall opinion of the community)

- hoof

I dont think that is good idea... this may kill fsp AH which is most important part of this game... for me right now this game is so good because have super aspect - AH... I think for many players as well... so I disagree with this idea... sorry.
New event is necesary but with some new creatures and new items... like on the cristamas time... this set now is really popular betwen players and ideas like this we need.

Thank you
Kularius

Level restrictions won't really help, I would imagine. I have players in my guild that I would trust with a couple mil at any level between mine an level 15....

Maybe my earlier post was crazy, but I can only see this idea either:

A: Having no noticeable impact on the FS community

B: Destroying the LE market.

If the enough items are releaseed to actually make a difference to a significant percentage of FS players, then enough items are released to send shockwaves original LE item market.

Thus in my book, it is either a waste of time or a pretty big risk. My guild has a lot invested in our sets, to level the playing field negates the 100s of hours of play, bargaining and hard work it took to compile that gear. Either flooding the market or offering cheaper versions of what the guild has....

One legendary item a day would only be a drop in the bucket compared to all the legendary items out there so it won't destroy the market or anything. I say go for it.

Lol ... that would raise the prices for items with the Master Thief enhancement... I would like to see how the majority of players are going to defend themselves carrying 2-10 millions... :P ...

First, those items will not be any cheaper

Second, it will be dangerous to buy them for such amounts of gold

Third, making them 'bounded' would mean making them cheaper but at the same time that destroys old traditional LE items

Fourth, it's been so many huge changes to the game that many people are hit by losses as a result of changing conditions every week... That's definitely not encouraging to continue playing the game... Even though I am selling only items that were used by myself I lost several hundreds of fsps because of the latest changes in the conditions (not because of my mistakes, but the changes that weren't known before)... The first thought of course is to stop this craziness and switch to the game where the rules and conditions are not changing every day... But of course, occasional hunting the players that bid millions in the AH can be fun...
