I am not in a large guild but these suggestions sound like they would be very helpful to the large guilds so I vote yes.

i like part 1 a lot...ino some ppl might see it as being selfish but if u look at it from ev's perspective she is miles ahead of the next highest person in her guild (thinkin of her LE set example) by the time next person gets to this level etc they have the advantage of a free set to use...however in another guild lets say u have 2 players at same level...they both donate a set each...how to keep track ay? :-) so ye like part 1 a lot...

re part 2
im all for altering it lol as someone else said...ton of wasted space there...so maybe find a way of tinkering with the suggestion and then it could maybe brought in :-)

First: I was thinking about personalized tags for items. I donate a lot of equipment to my guild for usage, then it gets lost in the shuffle. At times, the items have been unlocked when no longer useful in our guild, and sold for guild profit. I really don't mind to much, except when I have donated say 4 LE sets, and I only want 1 set back, we don't know which set belongs to me, and which sets belong to someone else in the guild. In addition, often times sets get sent to the wrong back pack, and needs to be sorted out before they can be returned. Personalized tags, would minimize the loss to the player.

This might be interesting for some guilds, but I don't see a need for this myself. All the items (except SE-equip) who get donated just remain in the guild imo. If you start with personal tagging then people are actually using the guild as a storage room for their own items. Also at the time of donation the sets might be really expensive that you donate but over time they hardly are worth anything (I once donated 8 mancrusha sets when they were 400-600 fsp each, look at what they go now)

Only SE-equipment can be asked back imo. But in the end you can keep it in your notepad who donated such items (for SE-equipment I like the idea)

Second: I have a suggestion on the Guild Store Report. I don't want to be presumptive here, and you may already be working on a similar aspect, but our guild has a mate who tracks our guild locked equipment, and I am going to presume most other large guilds have one also. My suggestion is, is there a way to easily parse out an Item's name and level via the Report page? Doesnt have to be fancy, simply a tab or link that i can click where it lists every guild tagged items name, the level it is and then highlighted means its being used, bold means its in the guild store and normal means its not being used, and another column for which mate has the item. I don't know if this is possible without great labor involved, and I will understand, if it is not possible at all. :D

What are your thoughts?

It has been suggested before to sort out items by lvl and by name etcetera and I still would like to see this idea implemented. It's really timeconsuming if you can't sort it out, it would even be faster then using the find solution of the browser.

i like both ideas the only thing is what would the cost be for personal tagging would it be like guild tagging fsp to use it then so much gold per level of items.

First of all, when did you become a noob?

All kidding aside, these are both good suggestions that should have been done long ago.... they could also be good ways to stimulate the gold economy as well

Just one old lady's opinion

I knew this topic has come up a bunch of times, but personalized tagging needs to be given some priority.

I was in a situation where I founded a guild Walls of Jericho with another person and he was Guild Founder and I was Co-Founder with full rights to do anything. I donated literally thousands of FSP worth of equipment to the guild over the period of 3 months and the guild was growing and doing great. Then this person's girlfriend wouldn't let him buy any more FSP so he kicked me out of the guild and untagged and sold off all the equipment. He then used the proceeds to upgrade his own character and destroyed the guild and joined a top 50 one. The issue is this is perfectly within the rules of the game right now, so there's nothing that can be done. He basically stole hundreds of dollars from a group of people.

Now, if I had been able to add a personal tag when I donated to the guild so that it could not be sold by another player, he would not have been able to do what he did. The current guild structure protects only one person. I love trusting others and I'm back in the situation where I'm doing it again, but the actions of the few truly despicable players are hurting the community as a whole.

There should be 2 new upgrade for a character, item tagging and item recall. A personally tagged item cannot be sold until the tag is removed and only the character that tagged it can remove the tag.

Thanks,

Ian

and again man you are on it lol. i know the situation of course cause i too was there and well i too lost out. not nearly as much as you did of course but money is money. it wouldnt be such a big deal if i hadnt paid "real" money for the fsp to donate to the guild or buy the equipment that "came up missing"
