Lol... Another "addiction" to the Idea of "Revenge Hit": If you USE the "Revenge Hit", the Multiplier should be "Revved Up" to either Times 5 or times 10 per Hit, and, the "level loss" could be related to Normal PvP Loss Instead of the 5 Levels Loss...

One other thing, IF I'VE NOTICED Correctly: About "Normal PvP", it should count like: If you attack a -5 level player (counting the current PvP System) FIRST, you would take out a minimal exp/coins, BUT, if the -5 player attacked FIRST, you would be able to take either the same "Multiplier" used by the "Low-to-high" attacking system, Or, 1 or 2 more Multiplier value... At LEAST...

Everything Else Is already nailed down Dark ;D

With the system as is, higher levels don't take exp when they hit a lower level... if a higher level hits a lower level first, no exp is taken, if the lower level attempts a revenge hit, no exp loss is taken from that hit either...

Also, if a lower level player hits first, the same exp loss calculation is made for the revenge hit...

As per the bounties situation, yes, I guess this revenge hit system could be tweeked to be able to match the power of the bounty system. But like I mentioned before, this would only make stamina attacks over 10 bountyable, and how often does someone throw 100 stamina on another person? In those cases the person pretty much EXPECTS a bounty :\

i really hope they change up pvp to make a 10stam hit only take pvp rating and theres no bounty.

i did a 10stam hit last night for some pvp rating, then the guy attacked me back for his pvp rating back ;P mutual pvp attack *thumbs up* it was MOST excellent. a rare find nowadays. i wish i wouldnt have to fear for some of my levels just for a lil attack for some pvp rating. the pvp ladder is lame and this would spice it up a bit. its a little tweak to bring back some life to pvp.

I'm not gonna read this whole thread, but i read the first post by DA and it was amazing.

Especially the revenge hit idea, everytime somebody attacks me, i give them two options: let me hit them back (provided they wont bounty me) and I wont bounty them or I can bounty them. I always do them the service of wearing conserve.

A+++ on the Revenge hit idea
A+ on the PVP change idea :)

I also think that PvP should not be gained or lost on a bounty... and if it is... then it should be 1/10th of the normal gain rounded down... As there are 10 attacks per bounty...

this NEEDS to happen. i just want to do some pvp yet not loose 5 levels. this is the perfect way to fresh up the pvp aspect of this game, which is currently dead.

theres lots of great additions/changes to PvP in this thread. some VERY simple to put into the game.

it would nice to see if HCS were going to EVER make changes to how PvP works in this game or are they just going to leave it alone

PvP can be a actual fun part of this game. not something people fear or something people do if they want to commit ingame suicide when they have become bored(just attacking everyone they can and getting deleveled alot)

i just want a new aspect of the game i can do on my off time. i cant even bounty hunt without fear of losing 5 levels, something that takes 5+ days of waiting to get back(not fun at all)

changing the way the 10 stamina attack works is a VERY simple change that will ultimately breathe life back into PvP. plus it gives those REAL bounty hunters a chance to have fun and not get deleveled everytime a nub likes to bounty 10 stam hits.

this is the first game i have every played that PvP was feared by the majority of the players. its so easy to make fun, there just has to be some changes.

PvP is a great way to teach players how the Stats in the game work and how to build better defenses.

Please lets do some changes to help out this part of the game. it would make this game more solid and less broken :)

This looks nice also, you would need a cool down between initiated attacks, so that someone doesn't just hit three times in quick sucession...

I suggested a dueling system a long time ago when I was level 120.

The basis of that suggestion was 2 combats would be thrown.

The first combat would have player a, start.
The second combat would have player b start.

No equipment damages would occur until both rounds are completed.

Assuming 1 player wins both the duels, they win then.

If not the duel occurs 4 more times. 2 times with player a starting. and 2 more times with player b starting. If 1 player won more then 66% of the battles. Then they win. Otherwise a draw is declared.

Other people added that it might be fun for the players to put money on the duel.

Ie.
Log msg: Player GodsDragon has challenged you to a duel, and has 50,000 Gold saying he will win. [accept | decline]

If you accept, then if you win, you get his gold, and keep yours. If he wins, he gets to keep his gold, and gets 50,000 of yours.

The thread died down and it got pruned.

This suggestion is separate from that one. That suggestion is different enough to need its own thread. If you wanna make it then good luck. I liked the idea of dueling other players when I started and I still do. This thread is about the mechanics of the PvP system.

Also I agree PvP is more fun with both players alert and trying to win. Rarely happens now, but I managed to do so when I did a bounty on Kelrithian.

During the bounty we were both hastly switching gear. I guess some level 300+ player was also on it, and lost more times then me. I only lost once. Also for the whole duration of the bounty we were also chatting with each other via log msgs. It was the most fun I'd had in awhile playing THIS GAME. After the bounty was over, and I had cleared it, we both added each other to our ally lists.
