No problem, if you make your suggestion, I will most likely support it. And yes, that was funsorry for drifting (? correct word) the thread.
that experience you had is PvP at it best imho.

*10 stamina attack
The 10 stamina attack, should be re-made to ONLY take PvP rating... no exp/gold loss... and no ability to bounty...
*A brief sum-up of what has been suggested thus far...
So with my suggestion, I wouldn't be gaining much if any PvP from the BB, and no that is not true that it is safe, because now, I am more likely to get hit for it...
*Redo of PvP gain/loss system...
I also think that PvP gains should be changed...
You should gain more PvP if the opponent is really close to you in PvP ranking and level...
Your PvP score gains should go up as the opponent goes up in level...
Your PvP score gains should go down as the opponent becomes lower then your level, and go to 0 if they are 5 levels lower then you or more...
Your PvP score gains should go down as the opponents and your PvP rating difference increases...
*Summary of the new gain system, and how this would encourage PvP...
This means that if I attack someone 40 levels higher then me with 10 more PvP I gain alot... cause they are on my level in combat, but they are also better then me overall in experience in fighting...
But if I attack someone my level with 1000 more PvP I gain little or no PvP... the same with someone with 1000 less PvP...
This will encourage people to attack people who would gain around the same amount of PvP in a counterattack, and as well encourage counter attacks... rather then whimpy bounties...
EDIT: *Adding a 'revenge hit':I once talked to someone about the idea of a "revenge hit"...
A 'Revenge hit' is an attack that is allowed to be made on a lower level who hit you, which will also take exp loss, however, there are a few conditions on the hit...
* If you make the 'revenge hit', you do so at the price of not being able to bounty the person who hit you. In the condition that you already bountied them, you lose the ability to make a 'revenge hit'...
* If you make the 'revenge hit', then the person who hit you cannot bounty you for it, as they hit you first...
* You can only make 1 'revenge hit' per hit that you received, any extra hits made after the revenge hit per attack received, will count as normal attacks, and the other person may bounty them...
* If you are a lower level then the target that hit you, the 'revenge hit' still holds, but they lose no exp when you make the 'revenge hit', because you lost no exp when they made the hit...
I like these suggestions. I'd love to see them implemented. 10 stam killing spree here I come >=D

One thing I don't like about this, is I pvp a lot (Thanks to Bp and bleltch
Don't get me wrong its a great idea, maybe just a few tweaks... If this were implemented, I'd like to see that you can auto-set how much stamina you use, instead of it always starting at default (10) so I wouldn't have to type as much.... It would get annoying having to always change it for me.... Especially if I'm doing like 30 hits in one night

if you wish to be on the bounty board then hit people with 11 stamina ;P
with the more stamina you use on an attack, do you steal more pvp rating?(in the current system)

with the suggestion of changing the 10 stam to JUST take PvP rating, no gold/experience loss, and no bounty....it wouldnt slow down the bounty board that much, for the fact that the Thieves, probably the majority of bountied players, will still be alll over the board because 11-100 stam hits are still able to be bountied. even if the bounty board is slowed down too much by this, i dont know how pvp rating works in the current system, you could have 11-100 stam hits take more pvp rating then normal, thus risking a bounty yet for more pvp rating.
plus with the 10 stam suggestion, bounty hunters would be safe from losing levels. which would probably bring back more bounty hunters to the board. most likely making the act of bounty hunting less of a pain and MORE fun.
PvP as of right now isnt fun (except for a few individuals ;P) with this simple suggestion of changing how the 10 stamina attack works, EVERYONE can get involved with PvP and have fun without fear of losing the levels they worked for. which is something this game really needs.
the pvp ladder is a joke and this is something that would dramatically change it for the better. it would make it more competitive and fun.

I read it about 1-2 weeks ago (might've been longer XD) and I posted saying it should be implemented...I still think it should...Still no comment from the Cows, I think that says it all
But, I didn't even know you liked teh idea
Moar people who like it should post here... then they will see the demand...

changing the 10 stamina hit to just take pvp rating will bring a new way to play this game. MOST people dont want to pvp because of the fact you will most likely lose some experience.
why should ALL of pvp be something that has major consequences like losing experience???
the bounty board would not die because of this change to 10 stamina pvp attacks. there are still people out there who PvP for gold, which will get them on the bounty board every time because the 10 stam rule is ONLY taking pvp rating, something that means basically nothing right now. this change will not affect the majority of players on the bounty board currently. the majority of players on the bounty board are thieves...who are still affected by this(still get bountied)
there should be a 'casual' part to PvP in this game. such a narrow PvP system will bring little joy to the majority of players.
are you saying that if the 10 stamina hit was changed to only take pvp rating, that you wouldnt join in the awesome fun? that you wouldnt enjoy the casual 10 stam hit on someone for just pvp rating, or the defense you will need to defend your pvp rating?
So now you want to bring back the Bwowty Huntwers (bolded for extra padding, lest they hurt themselves) into the mix.
If I am to understand you correctly, the "ideal" part of this system is to reduce the amount of bounties and increase the amount of bounty hunters who vie for them.
Less bounties + More bounty hunters = A bad thing
I guess the frustration of the Bwowty Huntwers being beaten out by the seasoned bounty hunters could be considered fun by some, but it would hardly make the experience less of a pain. Expect the norm to be that you would be beaten out of bounties frequently.
whats a 'bwowty huntwers'?
plus the 'ideal' part of this suggestion is to bring pvp back to life. not to reduce bounties but to bring some joy to PvP.
should PvP just be about stealing gold, taking experience, and losing experience? is that fun for everyone? or would some fearless pvp attack for just pvp rating be a better alternative to the current system of PvP?
lol

Why call us thieves? We earn our gold from stealing it from others! But besides the point... I agree with rebornjedi... Also the part of bounty hunters stealing Pvp... I strongly agree with DA especially on this point... I doubt its fair having a level 136 taking yoru bounty, and stealing all your pvp... its not in the 5 level range.... Even though I can kill them half the time with buffs, and I can gain pvp from them, I have to agree with Da... I like this suggestion a lotthe bounty board as of right now is full of thieves, bounty hunters *shakes head*, and those trying to actually enjoy PvP.
with the suggestion of changing the 10 stam to JUST take PvP rating, no gold/experience loss, and no bounty....it wouldnt slow down the bounty board that much, for the fact that the Thieves, probably the majority of bountied players, will still be alll over the board because 11-100 stam hits are still able to be bountied. even if the bounty board is slowed down too much by this, i dont know how pvp rating works in the current system, you could have 11-100 stam hits take more pvp rating then normal, thus risking a bounty yet for more pvp rating.
