I'm new, and I just have a few questions to ask:

1. What level is 'good'? For example, is level 50 'noobish' or is that a high level?

2. During battles I miss about 80% of the time against monsters my level. Is this normal?

3. FSP seem incredibly overpowered. One FSP can buy 50,000 gold, enough for lowly me to use for the next few weeks. Am I missing something here?

4. Once a creature is killed you can't kill it again. (duh...) How long does it take for them to respawn? If somebody else kills everything in a dungeon and you enter it a minute later, will there be no monsters in it?

5. How many quests are there?

Thanks for the help!

hi,

1. since this game is ever-evolving, there are almost always many people with higher levels than you. a good gauge of how you are doing compared to other players who joined in your month is availble.

2. hmmmm... that seems rather high. if i remember correctly, i was advised to put a lot of points into attack but later found out that putting them into damage is more important because you can get attack from equipment. also make sure you repair your equipment after every few kills because weakened items have lower stats.

3. FSP are a way for players to get better items and upgrade their character. the cost in the MP has increased dramatically over time as the number of players has increased. one can also get FSP through donating to the game or if your country has free offers for participating in a variety of ways. it is really difficult for new players to buy fsp from the marketplace because they simply don't earn enough gold killing monsters to afford the 100K price... but as your level increases, your gold increases. it will still be a ways away though.

4. spawn rates vary, but basically it is better not to play behind another player. you can also get a buff called animal magnetism which will help with the respawn rate. basically, if someone has cleared an area, wait 10-15 minutes and you should be set. this too will become easier as your level progresses.

5. i don't know how many quests there are, but you can have a look at www.fallenswordguide.com and look under quests for the current numbers. these are fluid as new realms are added.

good luck!

To add to this, spawn rates for elite creatures are generally 10-20 minutes but for regular creatures which is what you will be fighting most of the time, the respawn time is instant. It is respawned as soon as you kill it. It is better though if you don't enter right behind somebody just because if you happen to move in the same general direction they are, you probably won't find very many creatures because they will be killing them all ahead of you. Animal magnetism gives a chance for one of the creatures you killed to respawn instantly on that same spot so you don't have to move before you kill another one and it is a nice buff to have, especially at the lower levels where there are more players hunting in each area.

oh and NEVER actually use the sell fsp for 50k option. its worth twice that. FSP are the most valuable items in the game and so they should be a little overpowered (PS don't hold onto that much gold you'll be attacked within a couple min.)
