I have agreed with this in other threads. There is no reason for the house to keep losing bids in escrow once they have been outbid. There is no possibility of default on the part of the winning bidder.
This is most important at lower levels. I can remember trying to get items for lowish prices and getting outbid and then not having enough gold to buy the thing I could afford. At my level this is rarely a concern but might greatly improve playability for low levels.

This has been suggested before & I liked it then. I'll still say that you should've used the Search button, but I'll say yes to this again & again.

imo u should get your "bid" back as soon as u get outbid by another player there is no sence in having them keep your bid in fact it messes u up if u want to bid higher cuz u dont have the gold/fsp u used on the first bid

I agree also, I find it frustrating to have gold/fsp tied up.
I am sure that your existing bid counts towards any further bid you make ie. if you have bid 2 fsp...and want to rebid for 5...you only need another 3 in hand.
