in a version that im thinking of,we can make it that you must be on the same square as your target to slay him!!!of course that would mean you cant hunt someone higher level than you since they will be in a realm you cant enter.the price should increase like 10x or something,and the exp loss should be increased to at least 3-5x the normal loss. also on the page where you take bounties,it should tell you the exact location of that target(map,x,y)and update everytime he moves,so hunters can track him down.this would make it alot harder to complete bounties,but makes it wayyyyyy more exciting and challenging,and rewarding as well(since theres should a limit for the least reward you can set,which probably should be only in currency of fsp)
so what do you think?!?!?!?wouldnt this make bounty hunter wayyyy more fun?!?!??!

I think it would be fun, but bounty hunting is rarely profitable as is let alone if we install this idea. Anyway I voted yes, but definitely see that other things would need to change to make it worth it.

bounty is ment to "give the target a lesson" - to punish them (because you can get on BB only by attacking someone).
what you suggest would make it much harder to punish the bad guy.
So in order to balance it, you would have to make the xp loss like 100x higher.. it would also get rid of the planning, when higher lvl attacks first in order to damage the targets armor and lower his stats so that lower lvl can attack and "steal" more exp from the target..
I dont like this idea..
Without being strongly for or against this idea I think the second part of this is wrong. How does it "get rid of the planning...." It would just make it more "expensive" for the high level player, and others, to do the bounty as they'd have to expend stam to go find the player. If penalties and rewards were upped to compensate I see no problem with this. It would also restore more "level equal" bounty hunting which makes the PvP gain/loss a bit more explainable.

He's positive about a lot of my ideas... And Half of his posts... man that would take a LONG time. almost as long as it would take to look at half of my posts.

Killer422, you make a suggestion on how to make bounty hunting more fun....yet you dont even have the bronze bounty hunter medal so really....how much bounty hunting have you done to be able to comment on it????
I am a full time bounty hunter, the only reason I waste stam on leveling is to stay above the point where my gear becomes useless. Having to find a target, and then stay on them to attack them would make it pretty much pointless since by moving they could avoid being hit, so the only time you could even consider hitting someone is when they are offline, or if they do like me and go toe to toe with my hunters attempting to beat them.
The board is there for punishment, maybe xp loss should be increased, maybe its fine now but to waste stam and gps on using portals and then chasing people down is pretty much as ridiculous an idea as setting a minimum reward in fsps. FSPs are hard enough now to get for anyone that has no free offers or want to spend a truckload of money buying.
About the only thing this idea would do is make the bounty board useless........:roll:
huh bounty hunting is not really my thing cuz wasting 90 stamina and late by 10 seconds and not getting anything from all the hitting and found yourself on the board instead!??!?id perfer leveling wayyyy more than bounty hunting.but still,that doesnt mean i cant rant about how poor the system of it is

I'm sorry, I have to disagree with Rulen here (and you know I'm your #1 fan dear), but this would never work... for one thing, the bounty board would get bogged down. There's enough problems with periodic lag as it is. For another, it wouldn't work be unfair to the lower lvls, only the higher lvl bounty hunters would have access to the "accused" I have to vote no here.

The least costly "taking of the bounty" would be for a same level person to take the bounty. They'd be in the same realm or close in many cases and could take it. This might make things kind of interesting from that perspective.
I see problems with this in general, but the idea is radically different more than plain old bad. I think sometimes radically different ideas are just impossible.
Just a possibility, a partial use of this suggestion might be fun. All PvP could be continuted as it currently is (fine add fixes and changes but you know what I mean). However, there could be a major bonus applied to PvP at the same location. Maybe xp and gold loss doubled or something. In fact, maybe xp and gold loss doubled and the killer could get xp gain. This could be combined with a further bonus if the player were active within 1 minute when the kill took place.
The OP might contain an idea that is too radically different to be implemented. But this bonus would be workable without disrupting the current way bounties and other PvP are done. It might encourage some more challenging PvP seekers.
I have to add a second part to this I thought of last night but didn't think worth adding. I do now think it's worth adding. This system requires a way to "see" where everyone in the game is physically located. It can't ignore offline players or inactives due to the potential for abuse. Rulen can pop back in here and fully explain why it's bad to have everyone know where every SE hunter is just by looking at their name. lol. It's a potential deal breaker I think.
