You go into the Arena area, and enter the following items

Event Specifications

Level Range of Event(s) : [self explanatory]
Event Type(s) : [Any, Special Moves, Basic Move] (might be more types later like "Forged" or "Unforged" in the future)
Type of prize : [Any, Move, Item]
Max Cost : [The highest cost of an event you're willing to enter]
Cue Fee : [10% of Max Cost]

You will remain in a cue for 8 hours. You may only be in one cue at a time. If at the end of 8 hours no event has occured with your specified choices [max cost] will be refunded to you. If you enter an event with a cost less than [max cost] the difference will be returned. Your cue fee will not be returned.

---------------------

Example (using myself)
Level Range of Event(s) 25, 30
Event Type(s) : Basic Move
Type of Prize : Move
Max Cost : 20,000
[Submit]

You have chosen to enter the waiting list for an event with these choices
Level of Event 25-30 [] [] Event Type : Basic Move
Type of Prize Move [] [] Max Cost : 20,000
Your stats will be based on the lowest level you entered
Level 25 arena event stats are
Attack: 237 [][] Defense: 75
Armor: 300 [][] Damage: 345
HP: 130
Cue Fee (Auto Calculated) : 2,000

Cost to post in cue : 22,000

You will remain in a cue for 8 hours. You may only be in one cue at a time. If at the end of 8 hours no event has occured with your specified choices 20,000 will be refunded to you. If you are entered into an event with a cost less than 20,000 the difference will be returned. Your cue fee will not be returned.

[Accept and enter Cue] . . . . . [Return to Event Specifications]

---
After you accept and enter cue, if you have enough cash on hand, you get this message
---
"You have Successfully entered an Arena Cue. Your cue will last till 12:11 08/JULY/2008 You will be notified when an arena matching your specifications has been created, or when your cue has expired. Remember, you may only have 1 cue at a time"

-------------------------------------

An idea for a possible FSP sink, allow players to buy extra cues, just like you might for Auction Posting, Backpack Space, or other things.

Got the idea when I read the "Pvp waiting room" thread...

Reason for the idea is that people can't be online 24/7 and especially if you're low level you might not always be able to get an arena that you can do. I do realize that there is a downside for this, it can end up leading to certain level groups filling up as soon as the arena is posted. On the up side, it does act as a bit of a gold sink in its own way. Any other comments about this?

The problem is that some players would put in the cue for ALL tournaments. Then, even when these arena actives actually sleep nobody else could get in the tournaments.

I actually think the current system lets more people get in the tournaments because the actives have to be there to get in. Not cue it up with 2 million gold.

That's part of the reason that the gear is set to the lowest level you pick to cue into. If you select say "Level 5 - Level 200" no matter what level arena you end up in you'll only be able to use the level 5 gear you have on at the time you cue.

Also as you pointed out with the 2 million gold, the cue fee is there to help ebb some of that, you'ld end up losing 200,000 gold.

If you were to chose something like this

Level Range of Event(s) : 5-200
Event Type(s) : any
Type of Prize : any
Max Cost : 2,000,000

You would end up with stats if you're lucky/fully forged
Attack: 100 [][] Defense: 20
Armor: 110 [][] Damage: 120
HP: 25
Cue Fee : 200,000
Cost to post in cue : 2,200,000

While you might be able to go into a level 5 group with that, anything higher than level 15 would likely be a loss and waste of money.

I do totally agree with you about the non-peek hours and people getting more chances. I was just trying to come up with an idea that might help other people who might only get half an hour a day to play and can't use the time to watch the arena for one they want, this would include some people who come on during the luls.
