I recently pulled a DA and became the first person on my ignore list, lol. I remember reading somewhere that when you add youself as an enemy, etc. you get a log message saying so, and same when someone adds you as an enemy, sends an ally request, etc.

With this information, I can assume that when another player adds you to their ignore list, you don't get a message. My idea is that when someone adds you to their ignore list you should get a log message.

Did you know that there are likely over 2000 rouge black holes in our galaxy alone. Each of them can reach very high speeds, even in space terms, are each capable of destroying anything in their path, and are invisible. Well, goodnight!

I think there are a couple reasons why they don't do this. Most players know when they end up on an ignore list, it's kinda obviouse. Beyond that if it was said outright it could leed to other means of abuse and such in the game.

I do kinda like the idea though, maybe you could have the option of what the message would say. I know this is what mine would say

"You are now on AngieFC's ignore list. You were most likely begging for gold or FSP. If you were not begging and you still got this message you must be danged good at annoying people. Best of luck with life and good trails."

I was thinking just have it say the generic "player so-and-so has added you to their ignore list."

Yeah i agree the only time I add is if i'm being hassled by begging. I think if someone added me and it told me so i'd would just become one major pain in theirs

I do see where the person is coming from. If you put some one on your ignore list and they get the message, you would be able to spam them with it. Here's a question though, if some one is on your ignore list do you still get "____ has added you as an enemy" messages from them? *just realised you could spam them with that*

Yes being added as an enemy, or getting sent an ally request gives you a log message.

Yup, besides, the person being ignored, knows if they are on the list.

Because if they attamept to send a message, they get a notification box at the top of the screen telling them this.

Tried it with a guild member, he put me on ignore and I tried sending him a message, and that's what I got. :P

You can do the same with ally requests or enemy spam... these things cannot be ignored via ignore list either...

And I do like the idea... I have a few times, wasted minutes and minutes typing up a long reply to someone who sent me a harassing message to find out that they placed me on their ignore list...
