Hi Gang,
This is just a thought. With so many Guilds starting and failing. I was thinking HCS needs to make the min player level 100 and FSP's needed to 250 min for the Creation of new guilds. This is open to be discussed as I'm sure many of you have some ideas on this Also please expain what answer you picked and why
Thanks

I don't think the FSP should be so high... I can see guilds that are successful that do not need any FSP at all...

I think phool's paradise has less FSP spent on it then your min requirement... just because the expensive guild is teh most common and famous build doesn't mean it is teh only one that will work...

Level 100 could be a good limit, but 250 FSP is a bit much. I like 50 FSP as a requirement.

Then there will just be more ads on the FSBox from people below level 100 wanting someone to create a guild for them cuz they're not high enough level.

I agree that their are too many inactive guilds. but i'm not sure just having a lvl cap on it will count....like the post prior it would just result in the whole need a player to create a guild for me....

250 fsp is abit steep. I think the biggest thing for starting guilds not succeding is the finance part....A solo guild has more potential because why would you leave yourself? but most begining players don't realize how much money a succesful guild cost...

250 FSP is way too much. By level 100, yea, people have an understading on how to play, but maybe 100 FSP to start a guild.

Did you know that there are likely over 2000 rouge black holes in our galaxy alone. Each of them can reach very high speeds, even in space terms, are each capable of destroying anything in their path, and are invisible. Well, goodnight!

if you change the amount to start a guild there wil be an increase in the selling of failing or empty guilds, so i say no to this, who cares how many guilds there are...

I think level 50-75 for guild creation. By then you know a bit more about the game and what to expect.

In regaurds to the FSP side of things, have it go up each time

1st guild 10
2nd guild 25
3rd guild 50 (only get to keep 50% as start up)
4th guild 100 (only get to keep 50% as start up)
5th guild 200 (only get to keep 50% as start up)

The more guilds you try and make the more expensive it becomes. Also after the 2nd time you make a guild you only get to keep 50% of the FSP in the guild to use. That means you start losing FSP as well, which would detur people from starting new guilds on a whim.

It could be a simple warning when you make your first guild "Please note that each time you start a new guild the cost goes up, and you will start getting less FSP to start the guild with"

I changed the bolded part because seriously, 5 guilds? The FSP you get back should be a lot less.

true but that still might be a little harsh, maybe 50, 40 and 30%?

Well the reason I said 250 FSP's that way players will be more sure and carful before just making a guild way to many just think wow I can own a Guild and then see what hard work it really is to keep and run it less wasted data base space more positive Guild Growth but like I say this is just an idea I know I put 1000 FSP's in our Guild the first day

I agree that there should be a level limit, and to prevent the fs box/shout box posts make it an all around minimum, you can't be a guild founder until level 100. It is not just the founder that suffers in a flopped guild, those that join loose out also, so hopefully that would stop some of that. I like a higher cap also. Maybe it would keep out some of the bad founders, as many have no idea the responsability involved in running a guild.

We don't really need to legislate away people's mistakes this much do we? It is probably a bad idea to start a guild at a low level with few fsp's. Though I'm willing to bet there have been very successful guilds (both big and small) that started this way. Higher level players don't necessarily make better guild founders either.

It is probably a bad idea for a player to join a guild at level 2. Should we make that not allowed? They are probably making a mistake...

I have no plans to accept the responsibility of guild founding at ANY level. But I see no reason to change the current structure. I also don't see why the FSBox guild sales/purchases are an issue. They don't bother me any more than the bad jokes, SE sales, set sales and fsp loan scams not to mention the lotteries.

Hmm, I wonder what happened to my stuff, oh well, sum good points
