if someone is trying to send you an item how would you get it if BP is full?

The game doesn't let the other person send you an item at all if your BP is full.

I Say No on this just another way to abuse the system and yes I do use the AH for srorage some times bu I am online enough to clear my Mail box and reset my auctions also If I know I will not be online I clear my AH out and that way don't lose items

No from me as well. If you want to use item mailbox as extra cheap storage room, there's the price to pay and that's the 24hr expiration. After all, treat it like the post office. The items are THERE to be picked up by you, the postman will not push them into your backpack...

I'll say No. The Mailbox used to be only 12 hours, so be happy that we have 24 hours now

The current system is fine. I know when I won't be able to log on for 24 hours plus, so I just avoid buying things from the AH and have my auctions end at a time when I would be able to pick them up.

Did you know that there are likely over 2000 rouge black holes in our galaxy alone. Each of them can reach very high speeds, even in space terms, are each capable of destroying anything in their path, and are invisible. Well, goodnight!

The person is trying to say, after an Auction is over and you win the items go into a holding area for 24 hours. At the end of the 24 hours they are destroyed. What the person is trying to suggest is that instead of being destroyed they automatically go into your backpack if you have room for them.

I like this idea for several reasons. I'll only list the biggest one ...

I'm a mother, that means life is unpredictable. As such I can't get on every day and that can limit my bidding in the AH or posting things in AH when I don't know for sure if I can get on the next day. With this I wouldn't have to worry about that as much as long as no one sent me a bunch of junk to fill up my backpack I'ld be kosher.

no, 24 hours is plenty of time. It means that once a day you need to check in if you have auctions that may have expired.

I meant to have geared this more towards the item when you buy from AH, I only added the other thing in just for the hell of it. THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT FIXING UP THE AH SO WHEN YOU BUY AN ITEM, IT WILL GET TRANSFERED TO YOUR BACKPACK WHEN THE TIME IN THE MAILBOX EXPIRES, THE OTHER WAY AROOUND LIKE ITEMS BEING SLD I DON'T MIND MUCH ABOUT

still, no... why would you buy something you need, and then just ignore it?

There's no need to SHOUT, it doesn't make the idea any better :).

Auction house does NOT do deliveries, live with it. They will keep bought and not-sold items for you 24 hours, which is more than enough. If you can't be there within 24 hours, just don't go shopping :).

Yes, the timelimit is way stricter than in real life, where the post office will be willing to store your junk for a few weeks - and the chief reason for this is to limit the ABUSE of AH as storage space.

I would be for unlimited item mailbox, if it COUNTED towards "running auctions" limit. In that case, nobody could be ever able to hold more than (backpack+auction) items at any given time, and one wouldn't really care whether it's in mailbox or backpack.

I would think that we wouldn't even need the Item mailbox if the items had locked space in our packs.

If you bid an item slot is locked for it in your pack. If you have no room tough, I guess you won't be bidding until you dump some junk. A real AH would expect you to pay/take delivery immediately after the close of sale.

If you sell an item the slot is locked until the item sells. It is your item until it is sold. You should be expected to have room for your wares.

The only reason to have an item mailbox that I can see is like the Reserve Stam Bank. When the cows give you something to use you have it there available when you can take delivery of it. The cows giving you something is a force outside standard game play, and should enjoy the benefits of taking delivery from a mailbox. The Mailbox does have a part to play, I'm just not sure it should be as it is.
