As we know the scam season is back yet again and many PHAILED ppl met their doom, but heres a way to prevent it. We should have a "Refreshable Headline" at main page (Between the status bar [name/exp/FSP/golds] and the latest news) where the cows could add messages like these :
"Never give out passwords to anyone. Game Administrators will and would never ask you to do that"
or
"If you find a player impersonating as Game Administrator, report to us immediately"
this way everyone who clicks on the main page can keep a look out for scammers and impostors........

or have it pop up in the FSBox every so often, I rarely look at the main page.
dude that would be a waste of FSP and beside not many ppl look at the FSP or some have them disabled. I wanted this idea to be public for everyone to keep a look out and not a service to pay 1 FSP for 1 hour message then poof its gone. with too many scams in the game we need a real headline on top screen of main page for everyone to read and lookout for scammers.
Look at Phools thread in the sticky, his post and my post (treelines quoted my message about detecting imposter's in his 1st post) and yet ppl still impersonating and scamming, so do YOU think that posting watching out message in FSBox would do us any good ?

I meant for game admin to do, it's thier players that leave after they get scammed. For the players to do would be stupid. That you thought I meant the latter... never mind.

even still the game admins are not always online everyday and it would be too much bother for them to do it 22 time (22 hours) a day. Having a headline can be permanent and the cows do not need to check up to see if their message in FSBox expires.

If people are dumb enough to fall for that crap, why not let them learn a harsh lesson?

Why?
If people are dumb enough to fall for that crap, why not let them learn a harsh lesson?
I'm sure that the reasoning behind this suggestion was to cut down on the number of "Look at this dumb scammer" posts on the forum.
I for one find them humorous. And I 100% agree with Mr Wright...if these people are dumb enough to give someone they don't know their username and password then they get to learn a life lesson. Harsh? Yes...but I have learned in my time here on earth that people learn from mistakes more then anything else.

Well thats one way to put it. The other reason for a reminder is to make the scammers to look at the message to make him think twice before trying to scam and get his account terminated.

Yes I am such and such with the VISA corporation and I need to verify that you have not had your credit card stolen, I need the card #, your pin, your name and your home address over this call I am making to you.
Falling for most scams ive seen on here is about the same as falling for that and if you fall for that then you deserve what happens to you imo.

Well what i have notice is that most of these "scamers" are lvl 5 and below.
So why cant we set a "MIN" lvl for players to message us?
Just like we have with the guild min lvl to join?
So if someone tries to send us a message it would read
"sorry not high enough to message this player, must be xxx lvl to message him/her"
Well my 2 cents enjoy
PS. Would also help with the beggars

Personally... I think that is a really BAD idea... I can go into more detail later... but yeh, this would be horrible imo...Well i have an idea, not so much with scamers, but just in gerenal.
