You know, if ppl do fall for that that means they're just dumb and they deserve it. I mean they do get the reserve stam msgs f/e and there's no sender's name there - besides all the actual announcements are always.. errmm.. dunno how to call it.. highlited? via some 'new announcement' text..
That and the person isn't in teh official dev guild...
Well i have an idea, not so much with scamers, but just in gerenal.
Well what i have notice is that most of these "scamers" are lvl 5 and below.
So why cant we set a "MIN" lvl for players to message us?
Just like we have with the guild min lvl to join?
So if someone tries to send us a message it would read
"sorry not high enough to message this player, must be xxx lvl to message him/her"
Well my 2 cents enjoy
PS. Would also help with the beggars
Personally... I think that is a really BAD idea... I can go into more detail later... but yeh, this would be horrible imo...
How so?
To "ME" it seems great, but i would like to hear
the other side of it.
Situation... you just sign up for the game... you decide to pm someone... or someone pm's you... maybe the person who recruited you... so you go to msg them back...
You spend 10 minutes writing a reply...
'Sorry you are unable to message this player as you have to be above level 200.'
Then you spend 5 minutes writing a message to join a guild...
'Sorry you are unable to request to join this guild until you are level 50.'
Then you spend 10 minutes writing another message to some other player...
'Sorry you are unable to message this player as you have to be above level 100.'
Now you think the game is only tuned to players who have been around for so long, and that the community is closed to lower level players...
You quit the game then...
