anyways get to my suggestion, some of those, well almost all those applications ask for stuff such as real life names, real life age, real life location and even more personal stuff such as your real life job!!!!
there is a reason that adults teach kids not to give out personal informationto strangers on a website, and if kids wanted to join a good guild, then they are forced to tell people his/her personal info!!!this is not approiate at all, since even if you own a big guild that people wanted to join,it doesnt give you the right to ask about their real life stuff.i know how they only wanted to get to know members better, but as i explained, this whole "copy and paste this form in order to join"thing could give parents these days a bad impression on this game and not allowing their kids to play.is just a suggestion, well more like a rant =P to hopefully get rid of those kind of applications =D

cause this angers me that guilds thinks oh they are good,oh people wanted to join,oh they can asked for all sorts of personal information, anything they wanted to know even if is against the internet safety rules that we teach kids
Obviously if they dont feel like giving out personal information then they have no right to join. No different from filling out a job application. Sorry I am not seeing your point.
Advanced screening creates a better guild, Do you think that any of the top 5 guilds would be there if they had just let anyone in? Chances are they wouldnt be.

true but this is a COMPUTER GAME!!!why do you think adults teach kids not to give out personal information???and why in world would they need to know a guild members age or job?!?!is more than ok for guilds to ask for stuff in game, such as what upgrades you have or whats your current guild or your history, but asking for info in real life is-is-well i guess ive already made my point in pervious posts
about about you saying is like filling a job application,a job application wont ask you what game you play when you are bored or stuff like that!!!(unless is a video game designer or something)if is real life, they ask for facts in real life.if is a game we are playing, what does real life info have to do with it and why should we give out info just to "get better"in a game!??!

because some people also play the game and make friendships, that carries over into real life, thats why. I dont remember the name of the guild, but I can remember one that posted that they all got together for a bar-b-que. many guilds are close knit group of friends, the dont want a childish teenager to come in and mess things up, That is why. I cannot blame them.
I like knowing my guild members real first names, even if I wont ever meet them in real life. They all know mine. I will let everyone in the forums know ---> Its Jason. Whoopdee doo. Big Freakin deal.
want to know my age too? 26. Another big Whooopdee do. You read way too much into this. Your in a guild so I am still wondering why you are so mad at guilds that have this application. Did one of them reject you or something.

no,but is pretty angering to see guilds asking for personal info in real life when this is still a GAME!!
oh well ill just have to see what others say,and the BBQ thing, thats like 0.01 chance that stuff like that ended up happening........if that 0.01 chance is worth thinking/worrying/doing something to,then nobody in the world would dare to drive.they would all go"oh no!i dont know who but someone had a car accident yesterday,i need walk in a dark alley to make sure no cars run into me or my car!!"

when they get close and want to share info, then it is their choice to do or not. requiring it to join a guild ought not be mandatory.
of course if you want to put your name out there, feel free, just stop expecting other people to have the same perspective as yours - or worse demanding it.
So a guild doesn't know personal info on all its people Whoopdee doo!

id say no.cause is not an upgrade that would like change the world or anything.you guys have to look beyond what is good for you,and instead also look at if is worth it for HCS to invest tones of money(in case you dont know,it takes ALOT of money to run a MMORPG)into adding.it wouldnt be worth it to add something that wont affect too much,if they could have spent it on stuff such as more legendry events or new buffs etc. so no because this idea is not big enough to worth HCS spending time and money on
your own words there m8y... Something fishy about ppl scared of accountability.. one of the big problems with the world these dayz...
I prefer to know my guildmates, They dont get anything but add/remove items from the store until I can trust them, The application isnt used but I wont rank you up unless you get to know us all better, Its essientially part of the game, deal with it. You have to think that a guild founder has put a lot of time an effort into creating thier guild, yeah its a game (However since real money or things purchased with real money is involved, people will take it serious.) Thats why you see these applications.

so you think this is not important?why do websites keep repeating"we will not share your information with anyone"?why are there MSN or another accounts hackers that wanted your information?why do adults tell kids not to give out their information online?lots of people are concerned about their personal info being stolen by others, and in this game, you are forced to tell people in public your name, your gender, your country, you age and even your job and other stuff!??!?!
Nobody is forcing you too. If you dont like filling out these applications, JOIN A GUILD THAT DOESNT REQUIRE IT!
