I believe that the AH should be changed to a different way of bidding....
I think it would be more fun and most likely more profitable for both the buyer and the seller.
There should be a "Maximum Bid" For example
Lets say Boots of The hunter....
Say I bidded 87,000 gold on the boots now with the current system someone just bids 10 or 15% more and then they get in front of me I have to re bid
The way I propose is if I bidded on the boots say theyre minimum bid was 87,000 I could put in "MAXIMUM BID 120,000" my bid would show as 87,000 but if someone bids 90,000 my bid would automaticly go up the minimum required amount so my bid would instantly go up 10 - 15% more and does that untill someone bids more than my maximum bid....
Good Idea or Bad?

if you are willing to bid 120K, then bid 120K. if that is the highest, you win! just like what you are suggesting.

What he/she is suggesting is something that would likely lower the prices of some items and raise the prices of others. The way this would work is kind of like on E-Bay where you can put a starting bid of 1000 dollars but only 10 dollars might show up to begin with. If some one bids 50 dollars then the bid would jump to 51 dollars until the max amount that you are willing to bid is reached.
-----
The starting bid for an item is 2 fsp
You like an item so you put a max bid of 25 fsp, which would be taken and held onto, but the bid of 2 FSP starting is all that is shown at the moment.
Some one bids 3 fsp on the item and the bid would jump to four automatically.
Another person comes and bids 20 FSP as thier max. It would jump the bid to 21 FSP total.
If another person bid 27 FSP as thier max then your max of 25 would be reached and that person's bid would be 26 FSP.
-----
The short version would be that this idea would stop/prevent, the need to over bid, it would also reduce the number of bids at the last 10 seconds from being able to snipe an item away from you.
While I like the idea in general and I wouldn't mind it in the game it would change, drastically, how the Auction House works. There would need to be an issue brought in if two people bid the exact same Max Bid then who gets it? (probably the one who put that max bid in first). Haunted Cow would need to come out with a detailed explination for all players on how to use the new system.
A good idea, I like it, not sure if I want it in the game but I'ld use it if it was there, especially on potions in the special area.
