Although I am sure that some people will object to making lower levels gain more XP than they did, I still think that quest rewards in the form of experience should be somewhat higher. I have now heard that it is done for some new quests - and I think that this should be done retroactively.

I can't recall where did it actually start, but definitely in the 300 range, quest rewards are really tiny compared to XP gained from creeps. Since the item rewards are usually quite crappy as well, the only motivation for doing quests is the medal :(.

I think that all quests should give something like 5-15% XP needed for level... plus there are MANY useless quest rewards that could be replaced with bound potions...

I wholeheartedly agree with you there, XP rewards from quest are totally crappy and none of them are worth wasting stamina on it. I like the 5-15% suggestion of yours.

I think, but am not sure, that part of the idea of quests is to give players something to do that "wastes" stamina and makes this a game about questing and not pure leveling. I was as upset as anyone at having to run across multiple realms to track down stupid components of a quest to get an item I wouldn't have used if I was broke and naked plus 5k xp. I stopped doing those and, if you are a power leveler, skip the quests. If you like the quests it slows you down and that's fine.

Now, if they're changing the xp "reward rate" for the new quests maybe the old ones need to be revisited too. But, giving players something to do that sucks down stam and doesn't fully reward that stam with xp is not a bad thing.

I would be happy with low or even no XP reward if the other reward were significant in some way. As it is now, the rewards for most quests are:
- minuscule amounts of gold
- minuscule amounts of XP
- items that are next to useless because they break sets.

I would be happy if only the last case got solved (There was a thread from me about improving enhancements and providing partial EH bonus for set items which I am not going to bump anymore as I lost faith in that method).
But changing quests totally, giving more interesting items, that's not going to happen, so just juicing them up a little with XP wouldn't hurt...

It doesn't have to be much, but it's really a good laugh when the quest reward is smaller than XP from one creep...

I would definately agree. I am only lvl25 but I just completed the nightshade lord quest and i got 100xp, 300gold and some useless armour.

100xp is like killing 1 or 2 monsters, which considering the effort and stamina needed to complete it, makes it totally not worth it.

In contrast i remember one quest (cant remember which) when I was a much lower level, that gave 3000xp!

I agree that quests need to be made much more worth while.

Did you know that there are likely over 2000 rouge black holes in our galaxy alone. Each of them can reach very high speeds, even in space terms, are each capable of destroying anything in their path, and are invisible. Well, goodnight!

I can't agree more, most of the quest rewards are redicilous, and definately not worth to waste your stamina on. What's the point of doing i.e. the killing quests with xp rewards if the xp reward is lower than the exp you get from killing the monsters in it?

I definitely agree== one note though, it looks like they fixed it......at level 500 lol. There are some quests up there with 1.5mil+ xp/quest.

"Noavk seems to be relieved to see you go. As you near the door you hear a scream, someone is asking Novak if he is alright. You know full well he is not. The Deity of Vengeance is pleased, gain 55,000 xp and 2001 Gold."

55k xp. for a level 400 quest that took easily 2,000 stamina to complete, because you had to complete 2 other quests to complete this one.

i agree you would use up alot of stamina walking for some quests which takes away from your normal leveling

That's exactly WHY I started this thread. If they are willing to make quest rewards of 20% level at level 500, they can no longer use the argument that quests are supposed to be miserable XP-wise :) - so I'm only asking to have an extra zero at the end of all XP rewards below those new levels.

Meaning that I do not ask to make net XP profit on each quest - but please make the rewards significant enough to be noticeable...

My experience with most other rpg-ish games was that quests were there to give the player some advantage - either some good item (unfortunately not the case for a majority of quests in FS) or significant XP...

They fixed this starting at level 490.. u get better EXP gains... some of the quests are multi level and a hassle, but U can get as much as 20% of a level from the EXP.

Also, do every quest from level 395 and up... u need to (trust me) some of them are needed to get into the next realm, some of them give u parts of pretty good sets...

I agree though, may of the lower level quests weren't really worth it. I just did the ones that i would have done anyway.. or the few that got a good item. the plague helm, the glowing diamond, nomad skull necklace, hell medal....

On the other hand, i am way behind on the quest medal because i focused on leveling... maybe people do all the quests for the quest medal...
